We bought this tile for our 2nd floor laundry room and bathroom. It looks fantastic and goes well in each of the rooms. We opted for a matching grey grout so the white stars standout while making the hexagon shape more subtle. The tiles have a smooth texture and are very easy to clean. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

This is beautiful tile! Unfortunately will be sending it back. Makes me sad, but can't use it for backsplash around the vanity. Remember, this tile is most beautiful when showing the stars that form when laid together. I didn't have enough space to do this properly in back of the vanity.

Even thought the dimensions are perfectly listed it was slightly larger than I expected. Regardless of size the color of the tile was even better than I anticipated.

This tile is beautiful and gave our bathroom a total upgrade. I love the clean white with the pop of blue stars. We paired it with a new navy colored vanity and it’s absolutely perfect.

Elegant tile that doesn't go overboard with complex patterns

My wife requested this Merola Tile Stella Hex Azul 8-5/8 in. x 9-7/8 in. Porcelain Floor and Wall Tile (11.41 sq. ft./Case) from the Home Depot Seeds July campaign so that she could do more of her artwork. This tile is ideal because it has a smooth, but not glossy finish that she can use her pens on. The tile is sturdy, but not to the point where the tile becomes too heavy to manipulate easily during her coloring.

Love it but be aware

Now that it’s completed I love my tile backsplash. We are experienced DIYers but never had issues before with tile like we had with this one. It’s porcelain and extremely hard yet fractures easily when trying to make outlet cuts within the tile. After many tools, trips back to HD we found a method that worked using pilot holes and lots of diamond saws/blades for 4” router. Took far longer than anticipated but very happy. Love the look but may not be a job for novice.

This Looks Much Nicer in Person!

I was not sure what to think of this tile, as it was difficult to tell what the design looks like from the online photo. I will say that in person the tiles look better in person, and especially after being able to piece the tiles together to see what the pattern looks like. These tiles make white 6-pointed starts at the junctions and looks attractive. I'm considering whether it will look best using a thin grout that matches the black color of the tile (to accentuate the star pattern), or if it will be more interesting to use a contrasting group to add more design interest. I recommend anyone interested in this tile to buy some boxes and experiment with the choices first.
