This desk has a major problem!!!!!

This desk has a major problem...the holes on the top shelf are drilled incorrectly. Home Depot your customers are getting a bad deal......can you not intervene with this issue.

MCM Style

The desk took a while to assemble, but the instructions were fairly straightforward. The desk isn’t perfect, but it fits the MCM style I was looking for and is a mix better value than the nearly identical desk from another company.

Drawer Cannot Be Installed

We cannot get the drawer to line up for installation and there are no directions aside from “tilt and push.,” essentially. I’d love to ask the maker how this could be corrected but it seems the “ask a question” option is no longer. Hopefully we can get in touch with someone to fix this because I love the design and the material quality is decent.

Looks nice but challening to assmeble.

Looks nice and good quality. Putting it together was challenging. The snap lock system is very different to close. The actual desk drawer does not line up with the track so that is still not in. Also one of the side bolt holes does not line up but all test have.

Exactly what I expected - great quality and looks beautiful.

A little difficulty to assemble

I would have expected all of the pieces to fit together in a flush fashion, but they don't - the type of locks used to put the furniture together work fine but required a great deal of pressure. I like the look of the desk and plan on adding a pegboard to it once I determine how to attach it.

Matches my midcentury bedroom set perfectly

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! I have a midcentury bedroom set and this fits in perfectly. I bought a mauve colored velvet chair to go with it and it looks great! Very sturdy.

Bummer. Great design, poor quality and fit.

THE GOOD: I love the size and the design, and the birch veneer looks very nice.

Hard to assemble and incorrect top shelf

This furniture is very hard to put together. Many pieces do not fit well. I had to press hard against the boards to make them fit. The holes on the top shelf (the one with the rollers) are drilled incorrectly, making the track for the roller upside down.

A fine desk. Just barely enough space for a second monitor. Not room for a keyboard. Depending on how much space you have and your needs, you might consider something a little bigger. A bit of an undertaking to put it together. Pay close attention to the top cabinet. I had to take it apart and do it again to get the tracks in proper alignment.

Low quality

This is a horrible quality piece of furniture. The locks immediately fell out when I tried to assemble the drawer. I contacted customer service and they immediately sent out replacement pieces but the locks fell out of those too. The glue does not hold and ultimately I am going to have to try to piece this together with gorilla glue.

Not real wood

We ordered the desk because the description claimed it was real wood. Upon inspection when the product arrived, the pieces are primarily MDF with veneer. The only pieces that are real wood are the side pieces/legs. Also, despite being packaged very well, the product arrived with several damaged pieces including a major crack in the bottom piece of the sliding shelf and scuffs and scrapes on several other pieces. We will be keeping the desk because we've already built it and it is functional but we want others to know that this is FALSELY advertised as real wood when in fact it is MDF with veneer. Everything else was great - the price, the shipping, the packaging, etc. We just spent a lot of time trying to find a desk we liked that was REAL WOOD and unfortunately were still bamboozled by Overstock.

Highly functional and stylish design in warm color

This has been the perfect addition to my workspace. I love the sleek design, warm wood color and functionality of both the desk and storage area.

Overall a nice looking piece of furniture.

Nice warm color that blends with teak or lighter (natural) cherry finishes; it matches what the picture online shows. It took a couple hours to unpack and assemble. Arrived well-packed and just a couple very small marks on wood frame/legs, which are up against a wall so won't show. Heavy, at 125 lbs., and we'll definitely attach to the wall with safety strap provided; it just seems a bit top-heavy. I've been working at it and it doesn't wobble while typing at my keyboard. Room enough for an external monitor and external keyboard if you move the laptop off to side, or tip laptop on its edge. Front edge of drawer doesn't flip down allowing for keyboard inside drawer, although you may be able to just leave the front of the drawer off. I bought it because I have a 39 1/8 inch wide recessed area in a bedroom that I wanted to fit a desk into and this fit perfectly, plus looks like a decent piece of furniture, with some storage. Top cabinet is divided into 2 sides.

At this price point you'd be hard-pressed to find such a good looking piece. I was able to assemble it on my own and just needed assistance standing it upright.

Looking exactly like Mid Century desks from West Elm and Pottery Barn for hundreds less, this is a great buy. I compared assembly instructions online. This more affordable version requires the user to put in wood dowels, and while both (like all flat-pack furniture) use cam locks, the more expensive version's joining hardware looks stronger. As a remedy I added glue to the dowels (which go in loose for some reason) and added two tiny angle brackets for the drawer box. In the end the desk came out very sturdy. The drawer and doors roll well. It looks exactly like the photo, and compared to items I've gotten from the predominate internet furniture company, there was minimal off-gassing.

Great customer service

I decided to spend the extra money on this desk because I loved the look. When I received it there were several scratches and broken parts. I reached out to customer service and they took care of everything! That's my reason for 4 stars. And The desk does look great (after we replaced the damaged parts)

This desk is just a beautiful and functional piece of furniture! Great space saving option. It’s sturdy. It is heavy and took me a couple of hours to put together. Instructions were easy to follow. Lots of pieces but all labeled clearly.
