These recycled plastic rugs are great both indoors and outdoors -- I have some in each location. The colors don't fade. They are reasonable sturdy (two of my ones used outdoors on the patio are over 5 years old and show some wear, but a lot less than if they were jute). For a house in a warm climate with tile floors, they provide just the right cushioning for bare feet. They don't absorb spills or odors, so if you're housebreaking a puppy, these are a cinch to clean. Once or twice a year I take them outside to a clothesline and hose them down with an outdoor window cleaner. I love that they're eco-friendly, but even more that they stay looking new.
