You get what you pay for. The bookshelf itself is nice, but the “floating” shelves will warp and dip from the center after a few months regardless of weight distribution. It works for what I need it for right now, but I don’t see this as a long-term piece of furniture. In the meantime, I will flip the shelves back and forth as necessary.

Excellent bookcase, with very solid sturdy shelves. Should get my son through middle school, Highschool and beyond if he takes care of it.
