Works as intended

The toilet paper holder does its job. Like the towel bars that go with it, it sticks out from the wall 4”. With a roll of toilet paper on it, it sticks out 6 inches from the wall. That is a lot for a small bathroom, and more space than the thing needs to do its job. I bought the accessories from this American standard series to go with their gooseneck faucet that I liked from the same series. I was surprised that none of the accessories echoed the curve of the goose neck faucet. The towel ring looks like it’s from a different set. Contractor didn’t say there was any trouble on the install, but I do notice the thing wiggles a bit. The products are good quality, and I’m not unhappy, just surprised and would’ve made another choice if I’d realized.

Non-reversible Toilet Paper Holder

I bought the toilet paper holder as a piece of an accessory set. It is a stylish and sturdy set of hardware that I truly enjoy. However when preparing to install the holder I anticipated being able to mount the holder on the wall to the right of the toilet with the mounting set screw facing the floor, hidden from view. This is not possible because of the way the mount attaches to the paper spindle. Since this is a new bathroom, I want all items the best possible. Sadly, since this is not reversible and I have heard nothing back from Tech Support, I am returning the entire 5-piece kit.

Watch configuration for mounting when purchasing!

Very sharp looking and sturdy! Would definitely recommend. My only complaint would be that it doesn't come in a left and right configuration for mounting. You can NOT flip the base as it is one piece. We ended up mounting it upright. You could flip it, but obviously you will see the mounting screw. Due to that, had to give a 4 star vs 5

I keep trying to use these one sided holders and they just do not withstand the use of my family. I don't know if my kids are rough or something but they keep coming off the walls. I recommend the two sided kind...

We never got this - we got two toilet paper holders instead… by the time our contractors were ready to install months later it was too late to deal with it.

Simplistic and functional. Very sturdy, holds TP well and looks good while doing it's job. Little details matter and this my friends makes all the difference.

This does NOT work! When you use it the toilet paper roll literally FLIES off no matter how slowly you pull. TERRIBLE DESIGN!

This would not mount to the wall securely with the bracket and screws. It was loose and wobbly. I ended up throwing it away and getting a stand alone TP holder.
