Broke after 2-3 uses, customer service useless

Got this as a gift a couple years ago. Was able to grind up 2-3 deer before it stopped working (motor died). I sent it back for repair. A couple weeks later they sent it back, the motor now works but the shaft that drives the auger is seated too far back so it only partially engages with the auger, leading to it "slipping" even without meat in the tube, and 100% of the time if meat is in the tube. Called STX (company that owns Megaforce), sent it back to them again, this time they returned it with a new auger and auger housing, but didn't fix the fact that the drive from the motor isn't sticking out far enough to engage the auger. So I'm sending it back a third time, really disappointed, have ended up using a cheap little attachment for a kitchen aid to grind all my game and it's 100% more reliable than the Megaforce.

Best grinder I ever had it's like a small tank it grinds up pork so fast I can't keep up with it lol making pork roll and kilbasa is real easy now easy lean,heavy duty awsome buy for the price !!!! AAA+++++

It is easy to clean and operate , but it is noisier than my other small grinder and it don't grind meat as fast either , i grind 8 to 10 deer a yr and thought this grinder would be the the one but its not , it bogs down on just grinding bacon with the deer meat , it does grind the meat good thru the second time thru tho , if i had to do it over i would have bought a bigger one ,

Great grinder, frustrating sausages

Does a good job grinding semi frozen meats. Got this to make venison sausage in 2019. Grinding the meat was easy. I found that cubes worked better than strips. With cubes i could regulate how much meat went into the chute at any time. With strips, once it started down the chute it all went at once and the motor had to work harder to continue grinding. Thought I was gonna pop a circuit breaker in my kitchen. I agree with the other review about making sausage being hard because the pusher is tapered in the chute. The ground meat squirts back up the chute as you push, and getting the pusher out took some pulling as vacuum held it in. When first assembled, there was a gap between the cast aluminum chute and the motor housing. When i tried grinding, the chute kept slipping out of the notches in the pastic bearing on the motor. Thought i was gonna have to return it, but the third time i pushed it back into place it mated all the way flush with the motor and worked fine after that. Not sure why it didnt mate at first. Overall I’m pleased with the performance and made over 100 polish deer sausages in 6 hours. Only thing wrong is the tapered feed chute and pusher. I’ll make a larger one out of wood to compensate, so should not be an issue next time, hopefully. A non-tapered chute would fix this issue. Highly recommend casings that are preloaded onto a tube and not natural hog. Hog casings smell so bad my wife was gagging at the sink and it took more time to thread the casings onto the tube than it did to grind and fill them. Oh yeah, one last thing; instructions warn about storing the blades and plates separately to prevent discoloration of the metal. The alloy used for the plates is prone to turn black if in contact with other metals, similar to silver tarnishing. I learned the hard way that the stainless kitchen sink will also turn the plates black. Doesnt affect the performance, just warning you to ALWAYS PUT THE PLATES ON A PLASTIC SURFACE after use and store in a ziplock bag after washing.

This is one excellent grinder. The first time I used it, I ground 14 pounds of pork butt in under four minutes! It never even hesitated. Very easy to clean.

Started looking at KitchenAid adapters found most info was a good - needed a meat grinder for occasional use. Rebuilt unit was basically brand new! Very good design/quality- 2 year warranty to boot

Grinder works well

This is my first experience with a grinder so I dont have anything to compare it with, but it worked through 35lbs of deer burger with no problems.

I researched this meat grinder for a while and finally got it. Meat gets clogged several time even when meat is frozen. Blades are not sharp for anything.

Works great, cleans up easy, perfect for the sportsman who wants to do their own deer meat. I have had it for a month now and have ground up about 150 lbs on venison. I use the wagon wheel grind plate for the first grind, mixing pork fat in with the venison. Then switch to the 1/4 in. plate for the second grind after mixing in the seasoning. works great and that's saying a lot from me, I don't often write a review. If you what a nice home grinder that is rugged and hard working, you won't be disappointed.

Great home meat grinder

Have wanted one for a couple years. Did lots of research and lots of confusion with mixed reviews on most grindersw. Finally decided on this one and used it the first time last week. It is powerful, quiet as far as they go, easy to clean and ran cool. I wanted to spend about $100 on a grinder but this is so much bang for the buck with the extra blades and overall power and air cooling system, it was worth the extra $60. Think it will last me a good long while and if I decide to grind up whole deer myself I dont have any doubts that its up for the task.
