We bought this beautiful rug and it was perfect for our very large living room. We are appalled that it has, after only a few months, worn through to the warp in one place. As one of the pricier rugs at Overstock it is very thin, and despite a quality pad we constantly have to smooth out bulges and wrinkles. If it weren't too late I would definitely return it. But I guess we are stuck.

I'm writing this review for everyone who is tempted to buy this rug, but not quite sure. I looked and looked and could not find a review on line to help me before I ordered. I just received it today and it is exactly as pictured. I was concerned the "red" color might be orange since it's described as "burnt" on some sites. There are no sites that actually list the other colors. The blue color is exactly as it appears in the picture. It's a teal blue color. The border is definitely red, not orange, although it is a soft red. I'm really pleased with the colors - it's exactly what I hoped for since I'm redecorating with primary colors. I was a little surprised at the weight and thickness. It is a fairly thin, flexible, soft rug that arrived folded up. The wrinkles and fold lines came out immediately. It's not thin in a cheap way, but it's not a thick, heavy rug like the New Zealand wool rug this is replacing. I wanted this rug because the current area rug is black. Although it's a pretty rug, I am trying to lighten up the room. This Safavieh rug is going to be perfect for that. I'm a little concerned about what the large, light area might look like after a year or two of foot traffic, but I'm willing to try it. Update: I deleted 1 star from my rating because there are a couple of places in the rug where there is no yarn. The places are small and not noticeable to the average person. The rug is so pretty that's it's disappointing to find these flaws. Looks like the weaver just missed a row and that should have been caught by someone in quality control. Less
