Lasted four years

While I wish it lasted longer, it lasted four years and we have gotten a lot of miles out of it especially at the beginning of COVID. This was a nice way to get friends together safely, outside. Time to say goodbye, it’s about to fall over.

[Rewarded Review] Beautiful look - questionable connections

Beautiful chiminea! What I was looking for aesthetically. In terms of function and quality, I am not yet certain. The fire started up great. I thought there would be a little better smoke control with the chiminea vent stack, but it still has quit a bit of smoke consume the area around us when we had the fire starting and fully going. For the price I expected a little bit more quality. The piece came with two fairly sizable dents - but going to consider them character flaws. One of the welded bolts for the foot connection started to bust when I screwed in the foot to the base. I’ll be curious how the screwed connections stand up over time.

Sprayed with two cans of clear satin flame proof header costing available from any auto parts store. Prefer the brown rusty look over the bright orange and I’m protecting it from rusting beyond the desired look. Should last a long, long, time. Great addition to the yard. Thank you!

Comes as pictured however, would not recommend the rust choice. It gets all over you when putting it together. My hands, arms and clothes were covered. There is no sealant on this. I had to change from contacts to my glasses because just standing by it rust particles were blowing on my face. Looks cool if you don't mind the rust aspect. Returning mine.

Not worth the price. Constructed of thin sheet metal reinforced on the edges to provide rigidity but will likely rust out in a couple years. Weight's so low that a strong wind could blow it over. Worth $200 at best... I returned it.

Great Style but bad Function

This product is great looking and well constructed but poorly designed. The chimney should be an 8 inch flue for the size opening. Too much smoke comes out the opening. I love the design and will modify with a larger chimney and then it should work much better.

The silhouette of this chiminea is perfect. It is sleek and had a wide opening. Most of our land is tree covered and my husband loves the fact when he does yard work, he has enough room to burn large branches, but it's also more than stylish enough to have a cozy outdoor night with guests. I think the only downfall, was I gave permission to my husband to pick the color. He chose the rust color and explained how even if we bought the black color it would end up looking like the rust option eventually. I approved the rust color and it does look aged which is nice but I think I would've preferred the black option and let it naturally rust over time. Overall, a great purchase no matter the color.

I just love it !

I just love it ! Arrived well packed in perfect shape. As others have said, we drilled a hole in the bottom for rain water to drain out. We also sprayed the whole thing with clear heat resistant paint to keep it from rusting out. (You find it at auto parts shops.). My only negative is that it is really expensive, but so unique that you won't find any fire pit like it, so I'm glad I bought it.

Disappointing

The quality is not good. It’s thinner than 3mm in most places and the patina is rapidly being replaced with real rust which is staining our patio.

Large opening for std size wood chunks

We really like the chiminea for its appearance. It was super simple to assemble. Be careful not to brush your clothes against the rusty finish:) The smoke doesn’t go up the chimney as I thought it would. We’re going to move it’s location to see if that encourages the updraft.

Lacks a few simple additions.

Bought it for my sister who loves to burn documents for safety.

Nice looking but has issues

This is a great looking metal chiminea but it has three major flaws. First, it’s not 3mm thick as advertised. The metal may be 1.5mm think at the most and it’s folded over it’s self along some of its edges to look like it’s 3mm thick. I don’t expect it will last more than 2 years with the thin gauge steel it’s made of, and that’s sad for the price I paid. Second, there’s no drain holes in the base. Rain water can collect and fill the base which will speed up the corrosion. I’ll either have to get a cover for it or drill some drain holes in the base. Third, smoke doesn’t go up the chimney as I would expect it to. Not sure why. Maybe the firebox opening is too wide open, but smoke definitely gets in your face with this design. Too bad since it was so expensive.

Chiminea -

Really like this chiminea - good product - due to the metal backing it radiates heat back to anyone sitting in front of it. You can build fairly large / hot fire due to its size. The only negative it comes with a very high quality grill (would be good to use if you’re cooking something) but that sits too high for a good fire. I replaced it with a round metal fire grate (from Amazon) and put sand in the bottom - makes it good to go for a great fire.

Horrible

Cheap, thin steel construction. Open design also does not capture smoke from fire and up chimney. No weep hole on bottom of base so that rain water collects. Horrible product. Sad we bought. Would return but for hassle factor of having spent assembling product.

Smoked

Love the way chimenea looks. But parts were missing so we reached out to company and they sent. When finally assembled we had a few fires and screws melted so we had to use our own which don’t look as good. Main complaint is amount of smoke that comes right out the front and onto to us. Right now I smell like I spent the night in a smoker. Very unpleasant.

Product was good quality, however, the packaging was lousy, primarily the outer box, which is way too thin for a trip across the ocean, which is why the hood had dome minor dents in it and the brackets were missing, i'm guessing due to the massive gouge out of the corner of the box. Well... Getting ahold of OS was like pulling teeth, so I took it to a local shop popped out some dents and welded the base & Hood together. If it weren't for the packaging, I'd recommend it!

Best chiminea!! We love it!!

I waited a while to write this review because I wanted to be sure about my thoughts. Right out of the box I had very high hopes for this piece Its made a very solid steel and can be put together in around 20 minutes We have lit many fires and it really holds up like a champ The air intake design is extremely efficient making most fires last strong to the end. Before I bought this, in my last home I had built a permanent paver stone fireplace in my backyard - well that was awful But it sure did look beautiful and I had high hopes to build another one so I was very skeptical about buying a chiminea. To make things worse they were absolutely no reviews or videos about this item so it was a total shot in the dark. Anyway my wife and I are very happy with this and I recommend it without condition so long as the price point remains under $400.
