Short and sweet, like me, buy this bidet. It's balances the fine line of affordability, good looks, and all the necessary functionality.

Unsupportive

Within weeks of installing this fancy toilet seat, the unit froze. Support was unable to provide a resolution, although they insisted I send a video a nonoperational piece of hardware. Eventually I fixed that issue without assistance, with hours of reset and remote pairing. 9 months later the unit has failed again with flashing lights and gurgling noises. After weeks of back-and-forth with Rebecca of Brondell Support, she instructs that I return the unit to them for evaluation and repair. That’s a big ask, disassemble the seat from the toilet water supply, remove the 3-way water supply adapter, purchase a temporary seat, purchase a new supply hose , wait two weeks turnaround time, and hopefully reassemble without leaks from reinstalling these components. I protested this approach; Brondell‘s reply was to email me the warranty limitations page.

Unreliable, limited, instructive service policy

Within weeks of installing this fancy toilet seat, the unit froze. Support asked me for videos. It was not operational, with nothing to video. Messy - Water stream is not defined

We were "upgrading" from the Swash 1400 but really think this unit doesn't compare. The good aspects: It really does look so much better than the 1400. Much thinner, smoother more streamlined water and power connections and it sits more comfortable. The cons; on every setting the water splashes everywhere it shouldn't, no matter how forward or back you position the spray, (like it's too wide front to back,) the remote functions are way less programmable too, we have had this unit for a month and still cannot figure out how to program the remote and have it actually remember the settings, the nightlight was moved outside the bowl for some reason which just isn't as useful in real life. All in all I would not recommend this version from Brondell.

Design Problems (two)

I bought the T-44 bidet 4 months ago and installed it three months ago. When I first opened the shipping box I noticed on of the seat's little feet had fallen out in the box. It pushed back in easily but has no adhesive to keep it attached. Later, the other foot (they call them "bumpers") fell out. This continued to happen from time to time until one actually fell into the toilet and I had to retrieve it by hand (Yuk!). They sent me two replacements but they are identical to the first two and it is only matter of time before they fall out also. They would not give me any advice on a kind of adhesive that would adhere to these two dissimilar kinds of plastic.

Bombshell of the Brondell Thinline T44

This is my second Brondell bidet used to replace my Brondell Swash 1400 as an upgrade. Unfortunately the Thinline T44 did not meet my expectations…here’s why, the T44 did not fit my elongated American Standard Vormax toilet properly….when I adjust the seat all the way back towards the tank, the lid won’t stay up, b/c it interferes with the top of the tank, and when I adjust the seat forward enough for the lid to stay up my junk falls inside the toilet. Also the T44 night light is outside the bowl…big mistake for guys,. Moreover the spray pressure is way too strong compared to the Swash 1400.. The final insult to injury is that the product cannot be returned within two weeks of purchase…buyer beware!

Good Conceptually, Poor Service from Brondell

If you buy this product, you somewhat expect what you'll be getting. It's a bit bulky, but compared to other bidet seats, the thin line title does actually mean something as it slims down quite a bit front to back. While the unit worked during its first testing, it was pretty neat and had some nice features like the heated seat and water jet, air filter, and night light. But once it started to malfunction (within the first few hours), I could not get any help/support from Brondell. All I can say is thank you to Bed, Bath, and Beyond for following through and getting me a refund.

This is my 3 rd brondell bidet. Purchased T44 slim line. I have a well so I use a filter on my bidet. It is noisy. Much more noise than previous models. i have purchased a total of 4( 1 for my daughters house). The first 2 i bought were disappointedly underbuilt and broken quickly. These were $700 models. the 3 rd was mechanically noisey but not nearly as bad as the T 44. Th e T 44 does not seem to clean your bottom as well as the first 2 I purchased. We will see how long this one lasts. Hey Brondell get the quality of the wash back please

I’ve only been using this one week, so I’ll update this review after a couple of months. So far these are my thoughts about this product. The water is warm when it comes out which feels good. The air that comes out to dry you off is cool—it’s supposed to be warm, but it feels cool which may be a result of the fact that your bottom is wet. That being said, the water runs for 2 minutes and the warm air runs for 2 minutes. I don’t have the patience to sit there that long. The remote does have a stop button which I use every time I use the product. I have found that rather than using the dry function, it’s easier to have a stack of clean wash cloths sitting nearby, so I use one of those. This thing gets your bottom really wet so if you use toilet paper to dry off, you’ll be using a whole lot of it. The whole point of this thing is to use less toilet paper in my view. I keep a small waste can on the side of the toilet to dispose of the wash cloths. Most of the time they are still clean, but still, it’s an ick factor when someone else comes to use the toilet and there is the used cloth hanging there waiting to be re-used. I just launder the cloths with the rest of the towels on laundry day. I didn’t have any problem getting the remote to sync with the bidet as some other commenters did. We had our bathroom remodeled so it was installed by a plumber along with a new elongated toilet bowl, but learning to use and sync the remote was my job. I like the lower profile of the back of this bidet where the controls are located. I looked at other models and felt like they were just too tall where the controls were. I thought the seat would push your body so far forward that it wouldn’t be comfortable. I gave some thought to whether I wanted a bidet with the remote control. In the past I had surgeries that made it difficult to keep myself clean, so the remote gives you the option of using it with your right or left hand which was important to me. (I’ve had rotator cuff surgery and hip surgery.) At the time of the surgeries I didn’t have this product. Now that I have this bidet, I can see that this would be perfect for someone facing any kind of surgery that affects your ability to turn or move your body to keep yourself clean. In my opinion, this bidet has too many “bells and whistles “ which are options that I worry will fail over time. It has a button to make the water go back and forth along your bottom side which isn’t necessary because it has a separate button to wash the front and a separate button to wash your back end. I don’t see the need for extra features like this because you can just simply shift your body to get everywhere. Maybe if a person had back surgery and can’t shift this would be helpful, but in my case, I don’t see the need. The thing I like most about it is that the water that comes out is immediately warm which feels so good. Oh yes, it has a seat warmer also which is something I had never experienced. I do really like that feature in the winter. It has a night light which is nice…it’s just and LED light on the side of the bidet. It is bright though so it does work as a real night light. I would say my only criticism of it is that the lid to the bidet has a hard time staying up. I know some people insist on putting the lid down after every use, but in this family we do not. This lid seems to want to come down even when you are sitting on the bidet. I may have to figure out a way to address that issue myself if it continues to fall forward. So far, I really love this product and would recommend it to anyone. It is a very pricey product so from that perspective, it is not for the faint of heart. If it lasts me for 10 years I will say that it was worth the money. If it fails within a year, I’m going to be very angry. We’ll see how it goes. I hope in the future that the price of these types of products comes down. They are comfortable for the general population, but for the elderly and for anyone who has had surgery or otherwise impaired, it is wonderfully helpful.

Fit issues for round

Like most round bidets, this has fit issues. If you line it up to look perfect on your toilet seat, the lid won't stay open. It hits the back of your toilet (yes even a minimalist flat back) in just a way where the auto close kicks in. So you're going to the bathroom with your back holding this seat up and if you move slightly it hits you, and if you do still need to wipe or turn or put a tampon in or anything, the seat falls down your back. It's so awkward. However, if you move the seat up to give it room to not fall down, then it's now misaligned with your bowl. You already have the tiniest hole ever to pee into here, so misaligbing it makes it insanely tiny. I'm a small 110 lb woman, I can't imagine a man or a larger person trying to sit their butt on this tiny seat. I felt like I was peeing on a kids seat.

Terrible Fit, Excellent Bidet

The bidet functionality is excellent, but it doesn’t fit a standard round toilet as it claims. In fact, it just barely fits at all…if even.
