Just what we needed!

We needed a comfortable chair that could fit 3 different height tables for around our house. This is the perfect chair for that. It works for my desk, our dining room table as extra chairs and in our kitchen at the bar height counter top. They are light and easy to move, yet feel sturdy and well built.

The items arrived a day earlier than expected which was a nice surprise! The items look great in my space and for the most part I'm happy with the quality. Each stool took about 30 minutes assemble and the screws and hardware was packaged and labeled nicely. You will need your own Phillips head driver to assemble. I only gave the bar stool 4 stars because three out of the 6 stools had minor damage to them. However, the damage was so minor that I choose not to even bother with a return.

Great chair for those who play the Meta Quest VR headset.

We were looking for two special chairs to use our Meta Quest VT headsets. He needed something comfortable, turns, the right height and without side arms. They a=were also at the right price and we were able to have them loaded into our car on the spot. The lovely woman who helped us was amazing! Very friendly and informed.

Beautiful but Debatably Functional

The stools are very attractive! And you can certainly sit in them. They are a little more wobbly then I would like. And, the way the flat base attachment piece (a roughly 7-in diameter circle) connects to the curved seat---which seems like a bad design--leaves about a 1/4 gap that you can see from the side; gives the illusion that it's not fully attached. Finally, and perhaps related to the previous attachment design flaw, it feels like you're being pushed forward rather than comfortably nestled towards the back of the chair.

Awesome barstools!

I am creating a kitchen island with a bar height counter so needed bar stools. This was easy to assemble and seems VERY sturdy. I'm but 5'1" and my feet fit onto the footrest. Also, there's a handle on the side for adjusting the height from bar height down to at least counter height so they could be utilized either way. Brown wood with black pleather or leather. Not sure but they are very comfortable for any sized person. Would highly recommend. M

You pay for what you get don’t let the look full you

Definitely adorable looking sized to be seats for children to sit at a breakfast nook for quick bowl of hot cereal headed to school. Not for the adults in the house

I was happy with my purchase at first, even though some wood stain seems a bit off and one of the stool comes in fairly dirty (it didn't come to min that it could be a previous returned one at the time). Should have checked right away when delivered or assembled. I didn't pay much attention until later one day I actually got to sit on it and saw there are couple chips on the side of the wood. And then things are pulling together. Contacted customer service they only be willing to give FIFTEEN dollars max for this. Or I need to disassemble and put them back in the box which I no longer have and send it back. This is probably the worst customer service I've had comparing to other online furniture companies I've used. Expected better customer service and be more responsible and accountable for their fault

Update 10/17/21: My initial enthusiasm about this chair is dampened every time one of the screws pops out of the back, and I can't get it back in. Hopefully, my granddaughter who assembled the chair when it came will be able to get it in working order again when she recovers from chicken pox!🥴 Original review: This chair was easy to assemble and absolutely perfect for my needs. I keep it in front of my kitchen sink and found it immensely helpful when I wash dishes or even just eat a meal or a snack. Standing is not an option for me anymore. My daughter was so enthralled with this chair that she is considering ordering two as bar stools at the counter in her kitchen. All of my recent guests have commented on the chair and said they would love to have one. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the matching rolling chair which is adjustable height-wise. I am somewhat disabled, and these are wonderfully positive additions to my new living situation. I will send a photo later.

Look nice for the price, not as sturdy as I would hope

I am giving this 4 stars for the looks, it would be 5 stars if sturdier. When it is as tall as it goes, it is wobbly. I am also not sure of the longevity, but it looks nice and is comfortable. It is probably not made for larger individuals or a great choice for busy household with active children. That said, I like the look, very modern but the wood-look really softens the look and provides some richness. When all are lined up, it looks like a hair salon! We ordered an extra because I am not sure how long they will last. Also, we had some issues with damage in transport/pacing, which Ashley replaced. Overall, we are please.

Great stool, but a little too high.

Looks great. Just like the picture. Very comfortable, swivels easily. Only thing that is a sight drawback is that it doesn’t really adjust down to 24 inches. The lowest point of the seat is 25 inches from the floor, set all the way down. And because the sides curve up, practically speaking, the lowest setting is about 26 inches off of the floor. This is a few inches too high. We are getting used to them, but to read something on the counter, I have to set it up on something.

GREAT chairs, if the height works for you!

I misunderstood counter to bar height. My hope is that someone in the industry will fill the gap for those of us with limited space. I'd like to keep the chairs at the breakfast bar for everyday use, but maintain the ability to reduce their height for table use at dinnertime. Counter height is too high for the dinner table and that is as low as they go . . . :-( So sad that I cannot use these chairs -- they are otherwise perfect! Great quality and comfy. Four stars ONLY because I can't use them as a chair at my table.

Beautiful chairs but not adjusting!

I love the look and feel of these bar stools. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is they arrive wrapped in bubble wrap but some how already chipped and scratched. With two young kids, it's hardly worth the energy to try to return them when I'm sure they will be scratched up by my girls in the coming years. It was still disappointing to see them shipped brand new and damaged. The only other issue was the instructions. They were pretty much zero help with not one instruction, just a diagram. I still can't figure out how to adjust them and I've taken them apart 3 times. Overall I think the quality is good, but if the adjustable option is a must have, these may not be the bar stools for you.

I would never buy from Nebraska Furniture Mart again.

Someone is in the business of selling cheap products with reviews that are no way possibly real...

A great value for a stylish extra high bar stool

These chairs are really cute and are high enough to fit the extra high bar in my daughter’s apartment. The chairs are comfortable. The swivel chair works nicely, and the back is supportive. The base is sturdy. However, the chair is not easy to put together. I think if there were clearer directions, it would be very simple. But with only pictures on the directions, it is not obvious how to distinguish the two screws from each other, how to place the components in the right direction on the chair base, and most importantly that you have to take the cap off of the post that allows the chair to go up and down. With better instructions, these chairs would be super easy to put together. I had to read other reviews to figure out what I was doing wrong to get the chair to go up and down (I hadn’t taken off the cap to the post that allows the chair to go up and down). Once I figured it out, the chairs do rise and fall to various heights. You must sit on the chair to lower it.

CHEAP feel, CHEAP product, CHEAP packaging, ripped up box when delivered

DO NOT ORDER THIS... Just received it through Delivery. What a joke! The packaging was all torn up. Pictures attached.

Good value, nice stools

the flat seating area is more desirable to us than some of the curved seats of similar design. They're comfortable and built pretty solid. They're not $300 bar stools but they're a great value at the price we paid. The same stools were available elsewhere for much more. Assembly was easy. Remember to pull the protective gray cap from the hydraulic part prior to inserting it into the post with the footrest or the adjustment handle can't engage the drop mechanism. Instructions are a little vague on that part showing only a small line drawing.

OMG! I have looked for almost a year to find 30" seat height swiveling barstools that will fit with my industrial decor. Each was either prohibitively priced, reviewed to be flimsy, had light-colored fabric seats or just wasn't quite the right style. These, however, are PERFECT! So easy to assemble, with properly aligned pre-drilled holes, plenty of screws to complete assembly and are VERY sturdy. The swivel seats are just a tiny bit reluctant to swivel at first, which I like as a safety measure for children jumping up a bit too energetically. I could not be more pleased with he price, the look, ease of assembly, comfort and quick shipping!

Fairly Descent Stool

I just bought a new house that has a counter top bar and I needed a couple of barstools that matched my Dining Room chairs. I searched the internet and came across this style of barstool. I ordered two and received both of them within a week. There was some damage to the boxes but when I opened them there was no damage to the barstool parts. You have to assemble the barstools but that was not a problem. Just a warning, they use Styrofoam to package these and small pieces of Styrofoam will go everywhere. I unpackaged both of the stools in my garage and carried the loosed parts into the house to assemble them. Small Allen wrenches are supplied for assembly but they are small so I used my own set. These are made in China so you will have to use Metric wrenches. The materials are pretty sturdy and assembly was pretty easy. The instructions state that it is a two person assembly but I managed by myself. Be careful not to tighten the screws too tight as you will strip out the female threads. Also the legs will have to be leveled which is a task in itself. I had to loosen the screws for the legs and pry between the top of the leg and the bottom of the seat part of the stool and then tighten the screws back. They were still a little off but I plan to purchase a rug to place under the barstools which should level out the barstools. The upholstered seats are very comfortable and seem durable. It takes a little effort to spin or swivel the seat part but I think it will loosen over time. They seem a little top heavy or it just might be my weight but it seems when I sit down on them and move around a little bit they tend to start to tip over a little. I am not a barstool person but it would seem to me the legs should have been spread out a little more instead of straight up and down. The bottom of the legs do not have any type of floor protectors on them but I plan to purchase a rug to place under the barstools so I purchased some Teflon type furniture leg sliders to put on the bottom of the legs for the rug. I purchased a type of slider that can be attached with adhesive or a screw. I would rather attached them to the legs of the stool with the screws but there are off centered holes at the bottom of each leg on both of my stools. I don't understand the reasoning for the off centered holes but I can't use the screws with the sliders so I will have to use the adhesive choose and hope they don't come off while sliding on the rug. I gave a rating of 3 stars for these stools because they are about in the middle of a high end expensive and low end cheap barstool.
