Fantastic modern minimalistic light fixture

We installed these in the master closet and kitchen pantry where the ceilings are not particularly high and the overall sf is small. The light is bright, simple and elegant. Nonetheless, the supreme craftsmanship is clearly there. A beautiful, functional, minimal and cost-effective designer light fixture. Very glad we went with this!

beautiful on the wall

I love it. It looks wonderful on the wall. I have purchased one of each three sizes: medium and large one on the wall and smaller one on the ceiling. Large and medium one looks beautiful on the wall and it looks even better using rainbow color magic bulb. My handy man had hard time installing small ceiling light because locking glass lens to the base is so difficult. There are no space for his hand to reach the locking mechanism. After a few curse he got it done.

Medium size has exposed/visible fastners

I bought 1 small version and 2 medium size versions for three different rooms. The small version looks good. The glass dome is fastened to the ceiling mount with screws that are not visible. Nice. But the medium size glass dome fastens with two metal (silver colored) clips that stick out from the base and one can easily see them from any angle. Also you can see too much of the ceiling mount itself. I am very disappointed in the medium size of this fixture.

Nice Fixture, but Incandescent is NOT as Pictured.

As an Architect I was easily seduced by the elegant translucent glass shade proportion, clear accent edge detail and delicate quality of light. The shape is sexy, love how it hugs the wall or ceiling plane with the gentle convex lens...almost appears to pour out of the wall or ceiling. HOWEVER...the incandescent option looks nothing like this!!! We specified the Medium Incandescent with the 2 X 75W 120V E26 A19 incandescent lamps (not included) and first difference is that it has a pronounced mounting base that sets the lens a strong 2" off the wall or ceiling, which is completely visible. As a result of the shade sitting out the shade retention clips are clearly seen and are large odd looking metal slides locks...so you see these metal levers, large white base and the shade proportion is off as it now sits out from the wall/ ceiling plane...Not like the sexy shade pictured gently kissing the wall. As a result the quality of light is diffuse, bland and does not have the appeal of the highlighted edge and opalescent glass. Disappointing and misrepresentative.

missleading size

I ordered the Luna after I saw pic on the website. They have displayed 2 luna's and it looks 2 decent size moons. I thought it would look great in my son room. The delivery arrived fast and in great delivery condition. However the size of the luna (and I ordered the small size) for small size this product is so large that it will fit best a factory not home. I can't imagine what the large size Luna looks like. Almost real moon size. Anyway I tried to return it and the shipping for such large box was half the price of the Luna. So i'm very disappointed. The company itself is good and I buy from them very often for home and my office.

It's nice...

Just received this for a client but have not installed it yet. The glass shade has a nice form and is likely to look very nice when lit. The canopy/base, on-the-other-hand, is sorely disappointing. It's just cheap-o punched sheet metal...For a few dollars more they could have made the base a little nicer and have more refined fasteners. We used the fixture on the wall so the base is visible.

unusual

It is probably called "Luna" because of the silvery rim of the lamp, which looks very special when the lamp is lit. The lamp takes a higher amount of wattage than a typical wall or ceiling fixture, because the bulbs are somewhat out from the wall - so the lamp sheds good light.

I love it.

The fixture is beautiful, finely detailed, moderately priced, and very much as pictured on the YLighting website. Installed by contractor in a bathroom reno in process. It transitions exquisitely between traditional and contemporary features in an older home. YLighting's customer service, quick shipping and minimal order lead times are also great. I would order the same fixture from YLighting again (and again).

Floats below the ceiling with a warm glow

It is not only shallow but it floats below the ceiling creating a uniform glow. I purchased the large fluorescent Luna and was actually hoping that it could produce more light. The shade is such that the glow of the bulb does not show through creating a uniform intensity of light fading onto the ceiling around the edges which makes the light seem larger.

The ceiling lights are outstanding, they are way nicer than

The Luna ceiling lights are very distinguished. They have a custom look which sets them apart from every other light one finds at the large box stores. They provide a contemporary and custom look and feel. Quality is great. Will purchase more for the whole house.

After they are installed they are nice.

It took almost 3 months to get them. They were a huge headache to install. Once they are up they provide nice light. One star for everything prior to turning them on. Four stars for the style / quality of light they provide.

Great looking and performing product

Product looks great and was simple to install, does have a bit of a bright spot where the single bulb is aimed at, but that is to be expected. Has a good clean modern look to it and was a big upgrade from what I had before. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Luna Ceiling Light looks great

We specified the medium sized ceiling mount with fluorescent bulbs for a residential apartment in both the kitchen and the living room. We love it because it is contemporary and simple but still stylish enough to be unique. It's a great design because of its low profile and minimal connections. The light cast is great and our client is very happy with the results. Light bulbs are a bit expensive but with the fluorescent hopefully they won't have to be changed very often.

Streamlined, well-proportioned light

This is a soft, lightweight, streamlined fixture that fits close to the ceiling. It appears to be floating above the room - just what I wanted.

I am very pleased with this product

The Luna Light is truly a beautiful light. The glass itself is very well made and has a high quality look and feel. I purchased 5 of these lights and now the interior of my home has a nice uniformed look.

Lovely

I haven't installed it yet, so I'll update my review later regarding to how easy it was to install and remove , if I need to change the bulb. I bought it for low ceiling dining/ breakfest area. I needed something unobtrusive, very close to the ceiling. Existing light came with the house, ugly, cheap looking canopy style, and it's the first thing you see when you enter the area. Though this light is very simple, clear glass edge make it lovely and elegant, you can definitely say it wasn't bought at a big box store.

Very cool light - modern and sleek - easy to install

I installed two of these lights on the wall where there were sconce's before. I wanted something slim so as not to take away from the main dining light close by. I am very happy with the light - cool look, fairly large but not over the top. The only minor complaint I may have is that I can see a slight shadow when the light is turned on inside the light - although this may be because I did not use a normal light bulb inside.

Great light for a wall sconce

I previously reviewed this but wanted to add that the picture is fairly accurate but it does sit away from the wall appx 1/2". If you look on the side you can see the lever needed to remove the globe. Not a big deal and it does make changing it very easy. Very cool light - a bit bigger than expected so keep that in mind.
