Horrible Futon

Very uncomfortable. The instructions said to wait 48-72 hours for it to expand to its full size but it offered no support what so ever. This item was returned.

Total Garbage - Do Not Buy

This futon mattress looks nothing like a picture. It is not able to hold in the up position and is slouching down. The cover is the cheapest possible and the inside is not a foam. It has a zipper but you cannot take if off for two reasons: it will fall apart and it is sawn through (so you would have to remove the stitches and then if will definitely fall apart). The customer service is a scam and they lying from the beginning about returning it. The only thing I like about it is the color. STAY AWAY

Don't do it.

False advertising. No where near 6 inches. It's basically the same thickness of a very heavy / thick comforter.

Full size 6" futon mattress

loved the sage color but not quite the firmness I wanted, I could feel the seat slats through the 6" mattress when laying it out. I sent it back and have just ordered an 8" w/med-firm mattress.

Don't waste your money...!!

As shocked as I am at the quality of this product - disappointed doesn't even describe it. The color is beautiful, but instead of expanding in the last 48 hours as it was suppose to it is shrinking and looking so frumpy, wrinkled and uninviting. I am really upset to say the least. Don't waste your money as we did :(

Don't buy!

I would NOT recommend this. I can feel the slats underneath the perhaps 3 inch padding. It was compressed when shipped, we waited 3 days before we attempted to put it on the futon frame.

Thin. Cheaply made. Don't buy.

Very thin and understuffed. Only about 4" thick and flimsy. Droops right off the futon frame and you can feel the slats through it when you sit. Do not recommend. We should have returned it, but it wasn't a possibility for us logistically (third floor walk up, one car, and I was about to have a baby -- which is why I'm writing this 8 months later lol). Incredibly disappointed and will have to buy a replacement when we can afford to.

I love the color. It is truly a beautiful color, like a bright pink azalea flower. However, I didn't realize the futon mattress would be as thin as it is. I am going to try to figure out a way to make it plusher. The shipping and packaging were excellent, arrived early and packed well. I would recommend this only for a very slim adult.

The blue color is a really nice teal! And the mattress is super soft!

Really great purchase.

I am happy I finally ordered this mattress. It fits perfectly and it looks great. Everything is as described online. The fabric is strong and the cushion is perfect. The most important: it is made in the USA, in Texas! Thank you All. Great job!

Arrived after email alerts (~2 weeks, a few days later than original estimate) no problem. Fluffed out to size ok. It's a bit softer than my old all-cotton futon that's packed down over the years. Two night's sleeping went well so far. Zipper apparently allows removal of filling, not sure why (i.e. can't launder the cover).

Best futon ever! Great price!,Makes a great couch for comfortable gaming with my son's friends. Couldn't be any happier with the price the company, the durability of the metal frame the overall design of the bunk bed 's looks great in his room..Chose black so it looks fabulous with all colors especially red, silver or gold sheets. Do not buy

I am livid. This is extremely misleading. Why is the color of the frame listed if we only get the mattress? This came up in my search for frames and was the same price as the frames I was looking at. No where does it say it doesn't include the frame, so now I have a mattress and can't find this frame anywhere, not to mention that I now have to buy a frame. I would have never spent that kind of money on just a mattress.

Worth every penny

We bought this for a couch for the front porch. Yes, a porch. We lucked into it fitting perfectly and it has withstood the elements for over a year! Still hanging on. It's a covered porch but still sees the sun. The fabric hasn't faded and it's held up beautifully. Will buy another one when this one wears out, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Excellent product.

Comfortable, but floppy when upright.

This futon mattress is comfortable enough and serves it's purpose as an extra sleeping area for guests. It has a difficult time staying up in the "couch" position though and looks ridiculous. It falls down in half or slides down to the floor. I have turned it and flipped it countless times, I've "fluffed" it (like a BIG pillow), taken it off the frame for days to see if that helps, but NOTHING has solved this issue. I've had many futon mattress over the years varying in thickness (5 inches-9 inches) and haven't experienced this issue. hmmmm...

Well Made but Thin

After waiting longer than expected for the mattress, we followed the directions of waiting for it to 'refill' with air from being vacuum-packed for shipping. I don't know how much it really expanded. It's been 3 months now since my oldest daughter has had her futon. As a couch, it works great. For a bed, I really wish I would have spent the difference for the 8" mattress. We've measured a few different times to see if this mattress is 6" - it is REALLY QUESTIONABLE. The cover itself IS well-made and my daughter loves the shade of blue it is. It's just not that comfortable to sleep on.

Great spare mattress

I bought this mattress for my spare/guest futon frame. It isn't super thick and easily squashes flat if a guest uses it for more than a fw nights, but the price is right. If you're buying it for the purpose of having an inexpensive mattress to use as an extra, this is perfect. If you'll be using it to sleep on, please upgrade - futons can easily be very uncomfortable, so a decent mattress is a must.

futon "product desc' incorrect

in the description it shows wood construction. only the frame would be constructed of the material wood. i was unhappy in the fact now that i need two futon frames that were not included. can i send the mattresses back because it was described incorrectly in the ad page? as for as the satisfaction of the mattresses, i have not opened the plastic in order to keep it compact in the event i can return these two mattresses. i cannot make an honest assessment not seeing the mattresses out of the package. i can say the color sage is very pretty and would have matched the room. if the mattress and frame are sold separately then the product description should be void of the term wood construction

Nice product, so far.

Similar to many of the comments I'd read from other consumers, the mattress did come with a distinct smell of chemicals. Though it is quite strong when first opened, it will become less pungent over time. I left it to air out for the first day, then on the second day, sprayed both sides of it with Febreeze air and fabric freshener (whole bottle). That got rid of most of the smell. Now after having slept on it for a few weeks, all of the smell is gone. Thanks, Febreeze. As for comfort, it's medium-firm and pretty solid for a 6" mattress. Don't believe some of the reviews that say the mattress is thinner than advertised...it's every bit 6 inches and quite heavy for its size. I typically prefer a very firm bed, and this mattress provides a slightly softer feel, but with good support. It's good as a sleeping mattress, but those planning to use it mostly for sitting may want to upgrade to the 8" models for the added cushion.
