I returned this because chair makes ruts-too soft

Not sure why this vinyl/plastic is so soft. The chair sinks into it and I had push hard with my feet to dislodge the chair to roll it. I appreciated that Staples made it easy to return and it was picked up promptly.

Carpet mat

Using the chair mat to put under a hoyer lift to get my wife out of her bed and onto a wheelchair. The hoyer lift is hard to move on carpet. The carpet chair mat makes it easier. I got the low pile one and it works great. The nubs on the back keep it in place. Now I don't have to struggle trying to move her. Her nurse suggested I buy this. Very happy with it. Good price and fast delivery. May buy another.

Worrisome

Bought this item to put over a short-pile area rug to protect it from my chair with hard rubber casters. When I sit on the chair for any length of time (and I am not heavy) the casters leave dents in the mat. The mat has also gotten curled at one end. Right now the mat allows me to move the chair easily and protects the rug well but it’s not at all clear to me how long the mat will last. I’m not optimistic.

Not Happy with Purchase

I purchased two (2) Carpet & Hard Floor Chair Mat, Vinyl (ESR120321). When I took these out of the packing cardboard, I could tell immediately that these mats were NOT heavy duty. I have put these in our two offices and have the cardboard under them - still no joy! If you looking for something to last and is durable - look at another product. I was looking for something that would be more substantial under daily use, and it's obvious that these do not fit any standard. I would try to return them, but during the order process, Staples tried to double book my transaction. I received an email from my bank's fraud department, who denied the 2nd order. The order process was easy, and it was delivered on the 3rd day after ordering, with no charge for delivery. Staples DOES have good products, but this is not one of them. Looks like I'll have to go elsewhere to buy a quality chair mat.

Great because it was shipped flat not rolled

I've bought this mat two times from Walmart (from different sellers), once from Costco and once from Amazon. Walmart's always came flat and in good condition, while the other retailers shipped it rolled with damaged corners.

Mat is great, delivery as a flat package even greater!

I have an old Aeron chair and it rolls smoothly on this mat - not too quick, not too sticky, really just right. There is a small lip on the side but the larger footprint of this mat makes rolling off rare, and it is easy to scoot back on. It arrived by a local delivery carrier and was shipped flat - no rolling out worries. I was able to place it instantly in my home office.

Too flimsy. Hold out for Staples "Extra" Chair Mat

We needed to replace two chair mats for our home desks. For my husband, a 46 x 60 mat, and for me, a 45 x 53 with a lip to go under the desk.

Chair rolls easier but has divots

My wife bought me this mat to help my carpet rolling. It's easy to roll on, but the wheel divots form very quickly. If I want to adjust my position just a little bit, the wheels fall back into the divots. I have to stand up, adjust the position of the wheels and then move. The mat forms back into flat after about an hour. Its a slight bit annoying to have to stand and kick the legs every so often, but you get used to it. Sometimes I move my chair off and move the mat.
