Soft Neutral Rug
I got this rug in beige and I love it! Up close you can see the different thread colors (yellow, reddish-brown, tan, white), but from a few feet away it blends into a nice neutral. The material is very soft and textured, which makes it a more comfortable stand-in for jute. Expect a slight plasticky scent for the first 2 days as it airs out. I opened a window and turned on a fan - no issues!
So pretty!
This rug is perfect! It's soft. Nice weight, not too heavy or light. Everyone in the family loves it, including the dog. Lucky for us it's just the right blend of colors so her fur won't show as much. Also nice shipping.
Fantastic simple and modern rugs
I got this rug as a door rug and a runner for my entry hall. They look so nice and neat in my entryway. My rugs are in a high traffic area and I have 2 large dogs, so I was worried about wear and tear. Several weeks in and they still look as perfect as the day they arrived. Love these rugs so much and would recommend.
Two year review
I’ve had this rug for 2 years. We use it in our family/play room. So this rug has had quite a bit of foot traffic over the years.
Rug
This rug is very yellow like other reviews said. It is very soft, which I like, but it stretches and loses shape easily and the threads come lose on a daily basis. I have found that you can push them back in with a Bobby pin. You can vacuum it fine but since it is made from yarn, it gets worn out looking very fast. I have had it a little more than a week and I can already see a lot of wear and tear. I would send back but it cost a quarter of the price to ship it. Layered with another rug, I have made it work in our living room until I get sick of fixing the threads with a Bobby pin at least. I would give it a one but it is very soft and cozy feeling so I bumped it up to a two. I wouldn’t not recommend though.
Perfect substitute for Jute
Perfect substitute for a jute rug, especially for layering. No shedding or dirt like jute, but similar look. Soft, perfect color. Warm natural, not too yellow. Looks like a natural fiber. I’m so happy with this and may never buy jute again. I have it anchored under furniture and over a carpet pad. I also layered a vintage rug over the top. It would slide and move without a pad and anchoring. I’m thinking of getting one to just place plain under my dining table- pretty enough to use alone. Best part- no years of vacuuming endless deposits of dirt from jute.
It’ll do, for now.
The individual strands are composed of terracotta brown, mustard yellow, ivory, and tan/beige. From afar, my rug looks more mustard than beige. I don’t mind it too much but I was expecting a lighter-colored rug. Like other reviews have mentioned, some of the strands are also coming apart and I’ve just had it out for three days. This is the first time I buy a rug online, and possibly the last. Some things you just have to see and feel for yourself before you purchase, instead of relying on pictures and interpretations of color and getting a surprise later. Customer service was pretty good, though.
Hand woven rug
This is a beautiful rug that looks perfect in my den. It has no backing .so you need a pad or non slip pad to keep it from moving. I already had a pad from the old rug so it wasn't a big deal but it will be an added expense. The first week we did have to pull it to stretch it in places where it buckled. But once we did this there hasn't been an issue. My only issue with the rug is vacuuming. DO NOT us the power nozzle with a brush. It will pull up the threads and fibers. I made this mistake and I had to use a upholstery needle to pull the threads back thru to the other side.
Soft cotton, looks great as a layering rug
I love this rug. I hated my old jute rug because it shed and ripped constantly. This has the same coastal look, but it is cotton, so there is no shedding, no odor, no mess. I layered a slightly smaller rug on top of this for a textured look. I also bought a premium rug pad (don't get the cheap plastic on, get a felt type one, you won't regret it). There is no back on this rug so I saw one reviewer said it was like a thick blanket. I would kind of agree with that, however with the rug pad in place, this rug lays so nicely and stays in place. I would recommend this rug, especially as a bottom for layering. Also, make sure to measure your room so you get one that is big enough, a lot of people get a rug that is too small!
Soft, comfy rug but not sure how long it will last
This rug is soft and comfortable to walk on and sit on, especially with a rug pad underneath. The threads however are already coming out even upon arrival. It’s soft cotton and not weaver super tight so it’s not hard to dig too deep and pull out threads, ie, careful dragging furniture over it. The close up color is odd - a mix of mustard, yellow, beige and white threads. However when you look at it overall it really has that light jute look. Too much of a hassle to return and I really like the overall look and feel of it, even if the threads aren’t that durable.
Be AWARE!!!
when buying this rug, keep in mind - the colors in the picture are not what you get. In the picture the rug has beige, greenish colors, but you get a lot of yellow, deep dark purple, white and beige colors. If i have seen this carper in real colors, i would have skipped buying. Oh, and the smell!!! i keep carpet outside for 2 days and the smell is still intense, musty, moldy. I contacted the customer service, no response for 2 days. This is my 3rd carpet from this company, and was pretty happy before. But next time, i would be more careful choosing. Good note, fast shipping.
Great quality for price
I stalked in internet for weeks finding the right rug for my living room, modern but not bossy, neutral and easy to care for and this one is as close to it as probably possible. Although I had set my search parameters to rugs that can be vacuumed w a beater bar and this one came w a disclaimer that it shouldn’t be. I have vacuumed it though and so far it isn’t pulling up any strings. It’s soft, a good rug for my two toddlers (squished a grape into it today and it cleaned up easily)
A great rug!
I love this rug! I've searched high and low for a great rug for my living room. One that has a soft hand, warm aesthetic, and just enough texture to keep the eye intrigued. I love the texture and warmth of a jute rug, but do not care for the scratchy nature of it. I've been on a quest for a softer option that has a similar aesthetic to jute, but feels comfortable under foot... and this rug is it! It's 100% cotton, so it's soft to the touch, while adding texture and warmth to my space. The best part of all of this; the price! You can't beat it - believe me I've tried haha The reason I gave 4 stars is because (to be expected with something so well priced) there are slight imperfections with the weave every so often. The solution is easy enough, tie off loose loops, and snip the ends. Voila! Hope this helps
