[Rewarded Review] Great Entry Level Player

Awesome and affordable player. Had been wanting one for a while to hook up to my surround sound receiver and landed on this one for affordability and reviews. Sounds great and works great so far.

Patience required

I was excited to find this at a reasonable price b/c it was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that I could connect to my AirPods or a variety of Bluetooth speakers I have around the house. I found it very difficult to pair. I succeeded once with my AirPods and once with a speaker but once I disconnected and paired the AirPods and speaker back to my phone to listen to other stuff, I couldn’t reconnect. It also wouldn’t connect to the main speaker I hoped to use b/c it doesn’t have a pair button and that’s the only way to connect. It’s a nice record player if you intend to use wires or if you plan to only use one dedicated Bluetooth device and not mix and match at your leisure, otherwise I found it to be useless and returned it. I’m having a hard time finding what I’m looking for :(

Good Bang for the Buck!

Only issue I have had is the bluetooth. Cuts off audio at the start of each track of an album unless they run together in less than a second... it's a bit annoying. Quality of mp3 is at 128 but it does give you a good waveform to adjust the eq to your taste in post. Runs even and sounds best if you have an external preamp or one built in your receiver/amp. The internal preamp is a bit thin sounding but can work in a pinch if you can boost the low end. Overall for what it is for the features it presents you can't beat the price. I would recommend a scale to set the stylus/tonearm pressure (3.5g). Their instructions leave it really light.. need at least one more turn forward.

Better Than You Might Think!!

First, I was impressed with the build quality. Many at this price point are plastic. Handy counterweight adjustment. Good quality cartridge, however, it is very easy to upgrade the cartridge. I figured at this price, I could upgrade to the AT-VM95 series.
