Disappointing design

The plastic is thick and barrel feels solid and heavy as a result. But the design is disappointing because there is no good place to attach an overflow outlet. Water overflows into a semi-circular channel that moves water to run down the sides of the barrel. There are also two small drainage holes that let water out from the back for the "planter" area, but it splatters water up the side of the fence and house. I just wish they had one or two holes we could pre-drill for proper outlets.

I ended up with 2 Sandstone barrels.....the color was close but not exactly the same. They will be standing next to each other, so it would have been better if they matched. The seam is very pronounced....wish it were constructed better.

We are extremely happy with our purchase! Our water bill keeps increasing and I wanted a rain barrel but so many were hideously unattractive or were attractive with bad reviews. This one is perfect! It looks nice up against the house under the guttering and holds a lot of rain. It provides water for nearby raised veggie & herb beds. I like it's two brass spigots. If rain barrel is set on concrete blocks a watering can fits under the lower spigot perfectly. We've owned it 2 years & it is still in perfect condition

[Rewarded Review] Wrong product received.

I received the wrong product a week ago. I ordered two water retention urns, one was 50 gallon and the other was 100 gallon. I received the 50 gallon but received a second 50 gallon that was not the correct style. I called Walmart's customer service number and was told that I would be getting an email from the Marketplace regarding return/re-shipment. I have not received anything other than this evaluation......How many times do I need to call customer service to get the correct product?

Holds up exceedingly well. Has nice brass hardware and the higher second spigot is perfect for on-the-go rinsing when we're out by the barn where there is no running water. Seems solidly built, in an increasingly crowded market getting flooded with cheap options. Caveat emptor. This one is worth it. Spend a little more and you won't be sorry.

Barrel itself is very good! Wish it came in a 150-175 size. Shape fits right up against house nicely. To be effective in watering both bushes and plants 100 gallons is for light duty.

Large durable and attractive

Looks cool, but the idea of attaching a hose is a joke, the water trickles out even when it’s filled to the top.

The barrel is nice but the top reservoir for a planter has NO DRAIN holes so when it rains the top section fills up with water therefore cannot be used as a planter as your plants will drown -(

We live in drought country in Northern California where we often have restrictions on water usage. I love my plants so we collect water in garbage cans. We can put this rain barrel right under the down spouts. It's very large but at 65 lbs can be moved around easily.
