This is a high-quality, attractive, durable planter. I've used 4 smaller ones on my patio for many years. I'll use this one for a Japanese maple tree.
Great Heavy duty pot
Item as described, well made, happy with purchase.
Great quality, delivery as promised. Great $ with savings
Boxvale Plastic Pot Planter in black was just what our front door area needed.
Very nice extra large planter. Good quality, very pleased with this product!
A great pot in all ways
This pot satisfied in all ways. I transplanted two 25 year old citrus trees into these 36 inch pots very easily. They are a great size, deep, a good thick wall, easy to maneuver and move and beautiful. Great buy.
Looks Good!
I checked out the black Tusco pot at a local garden center and thought it too stark. Took a chance on ordering the espresso color and was very pleasantly surprised. It is a dark/rich but soft-looking color. Time will tell whether the color holds up, as I've noticed that over time the terracotta color Tuscos sometime fade. The pots arrived with some scuffs but nothing major. Amazon delivery was as usual, timely. PS Charge up your drill ahead of time so that you will be ready to drill holes in the bottom of the pot with a large drill bit.
It appears to be a good product but very expensive.
I like the product, it appears to be a good one, very light and very well designed. It is good for a large plant such as fruit tree at patio or pool area. However, I cannot certify anything as I just got it.It came as it was listed. However it was delivered to my neighbor. I could understand how the trucker got confused as the address was very clearly marked on the garage. The second one I ordered never reached me. I had a tree that I wanted to transfer from a small planter to this one and now it is dying as I had to order a third one.Even if the product is good, the shipment used is very bad.
I could live inside this thing. Very pleased.
Wanted to plant a hinoki tree in this planter next to our house for some visual appeal. When this first arrived, I started to laugh because it's so large, it's almost comical. I even took a photo of myself standing inside it for my social media...I'm pretty tall and it still went halfway up on me. I could have taken a bath comfortably inside with my legs folded up. However, the large size looks great with a tree planted inside and the planter nestled up against our house. Very, very happy with this purchase, and I will absolutely buy another when we're ready to do back planters. This had a good amount of heft to it despite being hollow-walled plastic, so I can't imagine buying a concrete or ceramic planter in this size. As a note, while I wouldn't plant a 30-foot tree in this, it's definitely the right size for trees under 10 feet tall (never leave a tree in a planter permanently, but this will do nicely for many years if the tree is cared for properly).
Good size. Lightweight.
Good size and thickness. Lightweight. Color not as expected compared to online photo. If needed, drill your own holes for drainage.
Looks great in the yard.
I planted my Japanese Maples in these. They are doing great. I am very happy to find a large planter of fantastic looks and durability.
Huge pot! Great deal.
I thought 30” was the measurement including the rolled lip. Nope! It measures 30” inside! This thing is HUGE! Even bigger that what I needed but I can’t complain. I got it for a fantastic price so it was worth it. No drainage holes but I was able to use a good drill to make holes.
Gorgeous.
They do not look plastic. I bought 4 30”, 24.5” and 20”. In slate and black. I would have preferred all slate but the two colors together are great. Very light. I can easily lift 2 30” pots at a time. I would love to get more because I worry that they are being discontinued, which would be a huge mistake by the company. A very well made product should not be discontinued. They a sort of expensive but the 30” we have that are ceramic are impossible for me to move empty by myself and one by one they have all cracked. The terra cotta color looks plastic, the espresso is good, the other two colors, I think one is sand, are not as nice.
I've experimented with many containers and am really happiest with the Tusco pots
I use these pots for my outdoor terrace gardens. Over the years, because weather conditions are rather severe here—intense sun and yet intense cold in the winter, I've experimented with many containers and am really happiest with the Tusco pots. They are sturdy, withstand snow, sun, cold and heat, have good drainage and are good for my bushes, flowers and trees. The rolled rim pots are better than other comparable models. And I simply love them.
Great product. Very well made
Great product. Very well made. Seems like it will last forever! BUT, I FOUND IT FOR $50 cheaper at my local garden nursery! BOO TO AMAZON! I called Amazon, talked to a great rep, and she credited my credit card for the difference! GREAT WORK AMAZON!!!!
Good Sturdy Garden Pots
I bought three of these Tusco Products RR30SS Rolled Rim Garden Pots, 30-Inches in the color Sandstone.First of all I want to state that these are very well made and sturdy pots. They are made of a good heavy plastic. But I ended up replacing them with a different product. I knew that they had no drainage holes and that the color was not my first choice but I ordered because the color Sandstone was cheaper. I my view they are more of a pink than a sand color. But I just wasn't happy with the color or size so I moved them around to unseen part of my yard and planted my tomatoes in them.
Large Flower pot
Very nice pot for large plant. Very heavy once filled. Appears to be a sturdy pot. Hopefully it won't split as my plant out grew the previously pot.
so good. It is necessary to fertilize and prune on ...
I want a variety of fruit trees, but don't have space for full-sized specimens. I have used these, together with the bases, to plant several trees, with the goal of keeping the trees smaller. So far, so good. It is necessary to fertilize and prune on time, but, if you don't want to work, don't plant trees.I'm not totally certain about this yet, but I think these help conserve water. It doesn't seem necessary to water as frequently, as the resin keeps the water from evaporating/dissipating as quickly as it does on bare dirt or in oak barrels.Update: I just ordered another one (Jan 2020). There are now several trees planted in these pots and they are doing well. Last year there was a good crop of plums, persimmons, and crab apples. A mulberry has just been planted in one and its size quickly increased by at least 6X. The Fuji apple will be transplanted into the new one, as it is not so happy in an oak barrel.
Best bang for the buck
Best bang for the buck. Rim is molded into one piece rather than open and flimsy like some others. Color in the photo does not represent it fully and is why I had passed on it several times in my searching for a pot. If you see the photo of the saucer it better represents the sandstone color or go to the Tusco website. With the saucer on the pot it leaves about an inch and a half around the base.I replanted some large palms that were in 22 inch pots previously and it took about a bag and a half of the jumbo bags of planter mix for each palm. The pot is completely sealed but has 4 raised areas that can be drilled out for drain holes.I really wanted some stone pots but considering I got 3 of these with saucers for the price of one stone pot I am happy.
Happy tree
Very nice pot and just what we were looking for our pot-bound Myer Lemon tree. Very sturdy construction and looks just like our patio pavers. We are very satisfied with the product and so is our tree!
