I picked this up for thanksgiving dinner, I have an old Traeger that I planned on smoking a spatchcocked turkey in but wanted to ensure I hit the right time and temperature so that no one got sick and also so I didnt dry out the bird. It worked perfectly for my needs and it was affordable, unlike the fancy Bluetooth ones that everyone is advertising this time of year. The display was clear enough to read through my sliding glass door and the temperature probes seemed well made and up to the task.

Do you think you should know it’s reading the inst

Found product very easy to use so nice not having to open the barbecue. I’m in losing heat. Did a brisket never checked on it for five hours. Said it was exactly what it was when I opened it up and tested it with a back up thermometer so I do like the accuracy and I like the alarm because you know it’s if one’s outside and here in here, you can hear the alarm and not have to be running back-and-forth all the time so good product good value.

Great Thermometer at a great price!

It worked as advertised. I smoked 2 pork butts. The biggest was on the bottom rack of my smoker and still had plenty of length in the wires. The display was easy to read. It took a few minutes of piddling with the buttons to get the correct settings. Once set, piece of cake. The presets are a nice option but I prefer a manual. The temperature set alarm is nice and loud.

Great cooking thermometer

I love this device, I use one to keep oven temp correct for sensitive cooking like souffles and breads and 2nd probe for meats, I also use it for smoking fish and meats with 1 probe in meat and the other for grill temp. Bought 2 more for wedding gifts.

Purchased this on a whim on clearance. first time using a dual probe thermometer and it worked great for smoking a pork loin. was really nice to get a more accurate grill temp AND meat temp at same time. battery seems to last quite a while and has survived a couple sudden rainstorms. magnetic base is great addition.

[Rewarded Review] Must have for grilling!

Great thermometer! Before I had to open my grills/smoker to check doneness, letting the heat out too often. Now, I can just look at the this gauge. Awesome!

[Rewarded Review] I would definitely recommend.

The ThermoPro grill thermometer was just as described. Large numbers to be able to see. We cooked a boston butt and a brisket at same time and having both probes set at different temperatures was awesome. Both were delicious.

Product works very well. Directions for controls leaves something to be done over. Confusing for me at least, but figured enough out to get a perfect fully cooked beer can chicken! ?

Definitely would recommend. Great thermometer for the price. Used it for Christmas prime rib and temp was pretty accurate(within 3 degrees). Easy to use. Display is large. Also like the idea of having 2 temperature probes for bigger pieces of meat. Can’t wait to try on the BBQ.

[Rewarded Review] Great buy and easy to use.

Two probes. Each has a different setting. Easy to program. Each probe has a separate function where one might be for beef and the other for chicken. Some complain about the unit unable to withstand heat. The directions say to avoid heat with the unit. Probes go in with the unit on a safe cool spot. Seems obvious but for some it is not. The cord is decent length giving you enough flexibility to do such. I would buy it again. The alarm for doneness was loud enough to here indoors with the windows down.

I found this to be a bit of challenge to figure out the order in which to press the buttons, even after reading the manual. However after using it a few time, I’ve gotten the hang of it. Pretty straightforward and look to get many years of use out of it. Other than that, the temps recorded match the other probe thermometer that I have so it seems to be accurate. My wife also tried it when making candy and worked fine for that.

[Rewarded Review] Remove the guesswork!

Love the simplicity of this thermometer! Has presets so you can just tell it what you are cooking and it will let you know when it gets to the right temp. If even lets you chose if you want your steak rare to well! If you prefer to have things cooked to a different preset temp, no problem you can set it to whatever temp you'd like and it will still alert you. Cooking two things with two different temps, no problem. The probes can be set independently making it simple to know when the chicken is done before the brisket! No Bluetooth or Wi-Fi on this one but that's not an issue since I'm not going to be that far away and the alarm is loud enough to get your attention. No complaints on this one and I have used it for steaks, chicken, brisket and ribs and all turned out great.

[Rewarded Review] Nice tech for the grill or smoker

I chose this probe based on price point but have been impressed. The magnet on the back is quite handily when you have meat probed and walk away, you know the wind can’t yank the probe out. Dual probe, lots of features. Not wireless but that hasn’t been an issue for me.

[Rewarded Review] Good thing to have on hand and a bargain as well.

Accurate and easy to use. I used this to check the temperature in my oven over a period of about 2-3 hours. I had just replaced the oven sensor as it seemed erractic. I actually used this twice as I found the oven was running hot and needed recalibration. I recalibrated it 20 degrees, used this again and now it is running accurately.

Great way to monitor temps

I needed an additional temp probe for my smoker, but wanted something other than the actual smoker probe. I know my smoker is a little off for what it displays for the internal temp, so using a different brand and style of probe would give me another data point to go off of for temps. What caught my eye with this probe is that it has 2 probes, and 1 can be used for ambient temps. I wanted to be able to compare what my grill says the temp is vs. what something else says the temp is, and this worked perfectly. First, to see what kind of variance this probe read, i set the prove into a know temp, and it was spot one. Since that was determined, i used one probe in my smoker, just laying across the rack in roughly the center of the grill. The second probe went into my brisket. I filled up the grill and let it cone to temp, and gave it some extra time for everything to heat soak, then compared my ambient probe with the grills displayed temp, and adjusted until i got it right where i wanted it. I definitely reccoment this probe set up. I read another review that said it was too complicated, but with just a quick scan of the manual, i felt everything was pretty intuitive
