Stay put thermometer!

I love that it clipped tighter to my pan than thermometers that I have had in the past. Making peanut brittle is difficult if your thermometer is moving around while you are stirring it.

I did not get the thermopro .

It so so easy to use. Once the temperature was reached I went to the next step. It made making carmels so much easier.

It is replacing my old analog deep fry/candy thermometer. And I am glad as when I tested both in boiling water this new digital unit was very accurate, and the old unit was off by 25 degrees. I also like the light feature.

I haven't had a chance to use this yet but the design is so much better than my old cheap one. This one is digital and nice and long!! No more sticking my head so close to boiling sugar, trying to read the old thermometer.

Obviously I could have spent more money, but this does what I need it for. I would have given it a 4.5, but that's not on the rating system. The thing I didn't like was the clip, otherwise it works fine.

Arrived when expected, but did not turn on when battery was installed. Correspondence with initial ThermoPro rep went unanswered, and by the time the second one answered with a suggestion, I'd installed a good battery, which worked. I cut myself installing the pot clip, but, other than that, it might be better than my old dial thermometer for making jelly.

The thermometer worked fine after I figured out the battery that came with it was dead.

First time

Finally got the courage to make cheese. This thermometer is perfect. Clips to side of pot and the readout is nice and big. Easy to read. Easy to clean. Glad I ordered it.
