This was supposed to be an electric blanket. It is not. The order was extremely late with being delivered.

Love these blankets but color is a little off.

I've loved this type of blanket since the 1970's 😂. I ordered it in ivory. It's a little more yellow than what's show. In the pic online but I still like it. Haven't washed it yet If it's like previous ones. It will wash well.

NOT GREEN

I ordered the moss green and that is what the description says on the package but this blanket looks like a dusty gray. I don’t even like gray so I would not have ordered a gray one. I am going to try and sell this locally before I send it back, but in the meantime, I’m going to be ordering. I guess the ivory colored one though I really wanted the lovely looking moss green that it shows in the picture.

Does not hold up well in time

Four years ago I bought a queen size blanket for my bed. I hadn't used last year. I took it out to put it on my bed and there was yellowing at all the corners and the top. I washed it and the marks didn't go away and it had an overwhelming odor of foam. I followed the washing directions. I actually threw it in the trash. What a disappointment! The blanket was not cheap. There is a base of foam that must have had a strange reaction.

Great year round blanket

I love the original Vellux blanket. It is lightweight to use year round but keeps you warm and comfortable. I have a King size blanket and it provides enough overhang on the sides and bottom to provide coverage for myself and my husband. It washes beautifully and seems to get softer with each wash. Depending on your dryer, it may take 2 cycles to fully dry. Highly recommend this blanket.

favorite blanket of all time

I finally was able to get this blanket again and finding it for a reasonable price especially with Kohl's coupons. I got one of these for when I went in Peace Corps in Romania, because I needed a lightweight but warm blanket. everyone else had sleeping bags and I had my values! the reason I love this and especially almost 30 years later wanted to get one is because it is not too heavy, it keeps you warm but it's also cool if you sleep hot. and now I sleep hot so this is the perfect blanket.

Had a vellux blanket many years ago and loved it. Wanted a new one for my king bed, so bought this one from JCP on sale. Just as good as I used to have. Warm but not heavy. Fits the bed perfectly. Very happy with my purchase.

[Rewarded Review] Cozy blanket

I recently replaced my last Vellux blanket after 26 years. I bought one last year for my son's room and he loves it. I love this blanket. It's low maintenance and it's warm, but not too warm. I get hot when I'm sleeping, and this blanket doesn't make me sweat while I'm sleeping. The only suggestion I would give is to buy a size larger than your bed size.

The blanket was nice. But I ordered a moss color blanket. The package slip said moss and the cardboard said moss but the blanket was grey. I needed the blanket and couldn't wait for an exchange so I kept it. But not happy I didn't get the color I wanted.

I love the feel of the original Vellux blankets!

I have been a fan of original Vellux blankets for nearly thirty years. It is not easy to find them anymore. They wash up great (a little shedding the first time washed), and dry very quickly. I love the soft feel of the non-woven fabric and how lightweight it is on my body. I am one of those people who "sleep hot" and this lightweight blanket works best for me.

I have always had Vellux blankets since I was a child. They are hard to find in stores these days so I was happy to find it on Wayfair. These blankets are light weight yet soft and warm. You won't be disappointed. I bought the green colored one which is almost a light sage color. It's pretty!

The best!!

Absolutely love these blankets. Just replaced ones that were 6 yrs old and taking abuse from puppy and kitten. These are wonderful during winter months, keeping you warm, and yet comfortable during the summer without sweating. Won't use any other.

Lightweight, warm and soft.

This is my second Vellux blanket. The first one lasted 10 years, and I'm hoping that this one will do the same. The blanket is lightweight, warm and soft. My only complaint with the blanket is it had an awful smell. I washed it twice but that didn't help! Eventually after a month, the smell mostly disappeared.

Great Find

We were surprised to see that there was a store that actually had the original velux blankets. They are hard to find in my area. It turns out to be soft and warm, like we had before. Came wrapped in its own plastic bag zipper type.We bought 2 king size for a queen size bed. We like the longer length. But didn't have to many colors to choose from. But we are happy about this item.

Interesting fiber on this blanket. It was stiff coming out of the package. I washed it and it took several loads of clothes to clear the fuzz from the lint filter in my dryer. It was much softer after the wash however. It’s a heavy blanket and the color is bright. Definitely served the purpose but not the prettiest product.

The Ultimate Blanket

As my title states this is The Ultimate Blanket...it's soft but extremely durable, very warm but breathes, stays in place when setting your bed (I love this as the blanket never falls off the bed or gets raveled up in the other sheets, is lightweight and was very affordable. I liken this blanket to a hotel quality blanket. Finally, the blankets fit perfectly on our queen and king beds.

Warm, cool & cozy

have purchased several of these blankets over the years & continue to come back to same blanket when replacement needed. they are soft yet substantial enough for cool nights while also being lightweight for summer temps in Arizona too. love how nice this blanket feels against the skin yet it wears like iron. highly recommend.

BEAUTIFUL BUT FALLING APART BLANKET

I washed this blanket as instructed and it completely disintegrated in my washing machine., Terrible mess and now I have to be concerned with a broken washing machine. Do not recommend. Terrible quality control . Been buying these for many years, and the quality of the last 2 blankets purchased has gone downhill. So unfortunate. They used to be Fantastic.

Gross- do not believe the hype

This blanket is a perfect example of everything that is wrong with our online review culture, and I am a guilty party. I came to Kohl's to buy a lightweight fleece blanket, and I fell prey to the siren song of sorting by reviews... and oh boy, Vellux is supposed to be THE ONE! The best one! I ordered it and it is absolute total garbage. Hard and scratchy, and feels weird. I should have just stayed simple. Returned.

Quality is not nearly as good as the ones I had

I fell in love with Vellux blankets in the 1980's and 1990's. This blanket is not the same quality as the original. This lacks all of the durability. I ordered ivory. The color is definitely a lighter and brighter ivory shade. I was okay with that. It appeared different online. I opened the package to touch the blanket and had hope when it felt velvety. I took it out and laundered it. What a piece of junk! My old vellux blanket could be washed on cold regularly as I have allergies. This blanket says to wash every 6 months on cold. My old vellux blanket stayed nice after wash upon wash. This blanket (new form manufacturing) smells like chemicals and the whole thing feels grimy and like it has some coating on it like a grease. I washed it as instructed. (gentle) and dried on light heat. My lint filter had flocks of crazy nylon dust. Now in daylight when I smooth the blanket out I can see "pock" marks or spots that look dimpled from where nylon is thinner. This is ridiculous. I want a true and original Vellux blanket. This blanket does not deserve to be called Vellux. I wonder where can I find one like I had even 20 years ago! For anyone who remembers the luxurious feel of the original along with it being lightweight, durable, and easy care, this blanket I received would be a huge disappointment. Not worth a star. Not worth any cost.
