The color of this rug is not gold. It is beige. It has no shimmer to it and looks nothing like this photo.

Rug arrived promptly and was packaged well…easy to open and unfold. Quality product. I was a little disappointed in color which appears to be a lighter gold than shown in photos. Instead it appears to be more drab beige.

Would buy again!

This is a gorgeous, high quality rug. Lovely tuft and soft to walk on. I got another size for the same room. The color is a straw color, stylish and versatile.

Beautiful wool, soft to touch and exquisite. Construction of rug seems excellent. Only negative is that its much darker than in the photos. Not really "ivory" but more "beige". We still love it. We looked long and hard to find a rug not made in the child-labor sweatshops of India with inhumane shearing processes and finally came upon this one made in Tibet with cruelty-free New Zealand wool (or we sure hope so) and NO LATEX. Love this rug. BUT, here's our UPDATE now that we've had this rug down for several months. All the above remains correct, and overall we still love this rug. BUT -- here's the BUT, low and behold, it is NOT -- that's NOT -- made in Tibet (China), but rather in India, according to the label on the back of the rug. Truth in advertising OUT THE WINDOW. Everytime we walk on it now, we think of the little children who worked on our rug for hours a day in a sweatshop. And, undoubtedly, it's also NOT New Zealand wool, but rather wool from India, sheered with cruelty from the sheep there. These animals are sheered using inhumane techniques that make them bleed (totally unnecessary) and thus the wool then needs to be bleached to get out the blood. NEVER, NEVER again we will buy a Savavieh rug. According to their advertisement, this rug was made in Tibet (China) using New Zealand wool. ANOTHER NEGATIVE: we purchased a 5' x 7.6' of this rug for our dining room and another larger one 8 x 10 for our living area. The larger one has spots in the rug with no knots, thus empty space, that can only be seen with careful inspection, but nonetheless, they are there, showing poor workmanship. Too bad, both rugs are really beautiful, soft, and look gorgeous on our walnut hardwood floors. But buyer beware. Now I know that anyone buying a rug needs to see it and look at it over and over and over again. I'm learned my lesson big time.

Beautiful rug! The rug is made of neutral shades of taupe and warm gray. Plus the geometric design creates a variation in the pile height that gives the rug a nice "under the foot" softness. The rug could easily fit into a modern decor or a mission/craftsman decor. It's well constructed with a sturdy backing. I am considering the 9x12 version of this rug because this 3x5 rug is so beautiful.

Very nice rug, but ultimately didn't work

When this rug arrived, I was pleased to see that it is a high quality hand-knotted rug. MUCH nicer than many of the tufted rugs out there. I was looking for a very specific color and this didn't quite match so I had to return it. Overstock made the return process painless, which is why I love Overstock!

Lovely carpet

The carpet is well made, comfortable to walk on, and nice to look at. Perfect size for under our kitchen table. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because when we unrolled the carpet it had sticks and leaves rolled up inside it like it had been rolled up outside somewhere. We had to vacuum both sides before we could even use it.

Beautiful from afar but full of flaws

The rug is as gorgeous as in the photos and the fold and curls from shipping quickly flattened out. The pile feels great underfoot--sturdy, soft and the two heights make for a massage to walk on barefoot. There were multiple small stains when I received it--red/brown that came out with a Woolite Oxy carpet stain remover. I also spent about 45 minutes crawling about the rug pulling small (< 1/4") pieces of wood and small leaves from the pile--many of which seemed to have been present in the wool before weaving. We've had the rug about 6 weeks now--in our living room--and have noted that it produces a significant amount of lint "bunnies". I vacuum it (suction only) and the adjacent rooms about twice a week to keep the lint balls at bay. The time spent cleaning when it arrived was the biggest frustration, but a lovely piece nonetheless.

Beautiful, high-quality rug!

I bought two of these runners and they are very nice quality. The color and pattern is lovely. I have bought several rugs (wool) from Overstock and they great.
