Very narrow once tile is placed

I . I didnt anticipate the reduction of space once tile is placed inside. This narrows down its usefulness

Odd interior shape

The opening is not right angled, when tiling the inside I had to cut my square tile into an isosceles trapezium (narrower on the inside than the opening), the other brand (bigger) box I used in a separate area was perfectly right angled and easier to use.

This made installation of a waterproof niche easy, but after the tile is added it is very narrow (top to bottom) and my husband's large hands don't fit comfortably to retrieve his soap. Could have used an extra inch there to make it a bit more functional.

Excellent! Just be carefull what type of tiles you are going to install. In my case I used a 12X24 and the niche is smaller. They should have 2 different niche for situations like this.

This product works well for a narrow niche, such as for shaving one's legs. It fits well within standard stud spacing, and is easily installed. My only complaint is that the interior dimensions are not ideal. Typical access tile sheets are 12" wide, yet the inside of this niche is a bit more than 13" wide. Other niches have figured this out and are 12" wide so a full sheet can be installed. As shown in image, the larger niche and this one have different widths, which isn't as visually pleasing as it could be. Similarly, the height could be some standard size, like 3" (1/4 of a sheet) or 4" (1/3 of a sheet). Having to piece small amounts of accent tiles just adds to the installation time.

Soap niche

This is our second soap niche & we couldn't be happier. First one went in guest bath with an additional 16x20 niche for shampoo etc. This second one is going in master with 2 additional smaller niches (his & hers). They are a breeze to install, even for my DIY husband!

easy to use

the cost of these molded products is high for what your getting. other than that these are easy to install and easy to tile.

Great purchase, very pleased

I was directed by a friend who is a builder as well as a Tile / Masonry guy. They we're as easy to install as he said they would be. They are VERY well made and a quality product, well worth the price. You won't be disappointed.

Over priced for a piece of plastic, but served the purpose.

I gave this a "good" rating because I have yet to install tile over it, so I don't yet know how that will go. As pre-made niches go, this brand is one of the better ones.

Perfect For Soap Bar/ Razors/ Sponges

Previously purchased other Redi Tile Niches for a basement bathroom shower and this soap niche is being used for our main floor bathroom remodel where we will have a tub. This niche will be installed by our contractor closer to the tub for those who want to bathe rather than shower. Our tile person will need an 18" tile cut to fit the back wall of the niche. A standard 12" tile is too small for the back wall of this niche. Thanks for a great product and quick prompt shipping.
