hefty weight cotton blanket

It's a hefty weight blanket. And, the Queen size is true size. We used the blanket in unheated Northern California home in late August when temperature dropped to 60. It keep us warm, but not hot.

Bad Choice

As a long time Tommy Bahama customer, I was appalled by the quality of this blanket. It arrived with snags and tears, and pulled threads. In addition, it had black and brown stains. This is the first time this has ever happend. Very disappointed.

I love this blanket. I'm using it at our lakehouse and a bed cover in place of a comforter in the summer. It adds a rustic cabin look to the room. The blanket is perfect for slightly cool summer nights. I haven't washed it yet but don't anticipate any issues.

This cotton blanket is just as pretty in its coloring as I had hoped. The heavy weight of it was a real surprise, though! I think it must be washed in a commercial laundry mat when that time comes, which is ok, but I know my apartment-sized double decker washerdryer combo won’t be able to handle the weight of it. I am using it as a couch cover right now which is benefited by the heavier material, so no worries!

Not soft at all. I washed it on delicate and carefully dried it. It filled up the lint filter three times. Sadly when I retrieved it, it was not at all soft. The construction is single sided with the wrong side rather dull and a bulky hem all around. It would have been nicer if it were reversible and the edges were bound with twill fabric tape for a less bulky edge. It’s not a bad weight, though.

I love TB, but don’t expect threads to be an issue until now. This is the second TB blanket in a few months that has threads in disarray. This isn’t an “loose” one, but rather has already pulled out and it was literally just taken out of the package. Otherwise, it’s perfect.

Not as soft as I’d hoped. Heavier, thicker in weight than I wanted. Some threads already sticking out, and some randomly colored (purple, navy) fibers woven in, that I had to carefully pick out. Not good if you have cats, can easily get fiber pulls. Nice colors. I’m only keeping as it’s a pain to return. Wouldn’t buy it again.

Blanket arrived full of string snags woven incorrectly. Just a lot of basic imperfections and pulls. I’m using it under my main comforter so I’m not returning. However, it’s not high quality made blanket, I’m sorry to say.

My husband is in love with his new blanket. It is just the right weight for warmer Summer nights, not too heavy on his feet. Much nicer looking than the cotton waffle weave blankets. Washes and dries well. May end up buying another for our spare room bed.

Lovely blanket. Just one issue.

This blanket is so nice. Colors are very nice, and subtle. Feels great. Washed before putting it on our bed. Followed instructions exactly. Now it barely fits our bed length. Not much material to tuck under the mattress at the foot end. I'm hoping upon using it, it will hopefully stretch a bit. Some times cotton will do that. Kind of wish I hadn't washed it first.

I love it! Washed up great. Beautiful colors, soft, with a little weight for snuggle comfort. Using it as bedspread in summer, will be perfect weight for the winter blanket! (We live in a warm climate, might not be warm enough in winter in a cooler climate). Very happy!

Nice blanket with good weight the colors are dull. The picture is pretty accurate - but I was hoping they would be more vibrant. I have the Tommy Bahama comforter so I wanted to stay in the TB family. Next time, I'll go for a more vibrant color/pattern. Good product overall - just not exactly what I wanted.

Beautiful addition to the King Tommy Bahama Quilt

This is the perfect light weight King Blanket for those nights that may get chilly. I bought it to compliment the king size Tommy Bahama Sandy Beach 7 Piece Quilt Set. The colors, a striped blend of multiple colors, compliment the primarily light grey blend of colors in the comforter set which was also purchased at the best price on the web. I am very pleased.

I am really upset. This blanket is pretty, arrived on time and packaged well. It did have an odor when I unzipped the plastic, but not a big deal since I always wash everything first - especially bedding. I washed it in cold water and dried on low heat to minimize shrinkage. Well, this in NO WAY fits my King bed. Although there was not a photo online of the blanket on a bed, one would assume the stripes go horizontally; if that is the case, the blanket does not even fit across my bed, let alone hang down - and that is without anyone even under it! So, I tried it with the stripes vertically - which I do not like - but it still does not work. It reaches across the bed but only with 2 inches over on each side - so as soon as someone is under it it will not cover them. Plus, it is not long enough to get tucked under. So, I spent more than I normally would (hello, **** has great blankets!) and itcan not be used on my bed. I assume that since I washed it (I did check, it was originally able to fit beofre washing) now I can not return it so I am out the $. Very frustrated. If you have a queen, buy the king. If you have atwin, but the queen.

My go-to blanket

I absolutely LOVE this blanket. Cotton, but tightly woven enough that does not snag. And beautiful. I use it as a "throw" while reading - with dogs around, so am confident that it doesn't snag! Well made. A little heavy for my washing machine (king size), but then again, my washing machine goes off-balance EASILY. I'd own several more of these if I could find the same deal - and I've looked. Highly recommend!

Subtle texture to decor

This blanket is the epitome of subtle. It will not dominate or overwhelm your decor. The stitching and soft colors just add texture to your room. The blue is not aqua, it is a baby sky blue. Still works well with a coastal or beach decor. Quality is good, nice medium weight for year round use, especially here in Florida. I definitely would recommend this blanket and definitely would buy again.

Wonky shape

I love the colored stripes on this blanket. So pretty. The shape is a little wonky though. With the blanket laying on the bed, you would want the stripes to be horizontal, right? Well, if you put the blanket on your bed with the stripes going horizontal, the blanket drapes onto the floor from each side of the bed and the blanket does not reach far enough to the foot of the bed to be able to tuck it under the mattress. This seems to be some kind of manufacturing error, so this must be why the blankets are on closeout.

I bought this blanket in both colors, one for each kid. AQUA: The aqua looks great with light blue/denim blue sheets. DUNE: dune looks good with grey & taupe. The dune has a slightest hint of purple. I paired the dune blanket with a dusty purple quilt for my kid who loves purple and it looks great. We love 100% cotton blankets for the weight and feel. These are good quality and look sophisticated in my tween-agers' rooms.

Tightly woven; launders beautifully

This blanket was better than expected. Tightly woven 100% cotton blanket; launders beautifully holding its shape and without shrinkage. As with any cotton blanket, lots of lint with initial washing. This will pass. Perfect added layer for Florida winter, Would work equally well under a more substantial quilt for a far-northern winter ;-). Queen size as expected with good drape. I like the subtle colors and how they work in my not-so-subtle décor.
