Great sturdy stool for the new place. We bought 6 of them. They are the perfect mix of industrial and elegant. The only thing is one of them came a bit soiled so I have to get it cleaned. I have to add to this review because the tops of the stools are falling off and we keep screwing them in but the screws just fall out there is nothing to grab on to. Calling overstock today to see if they can be replaced.

I have purchaed these stools for 2 separate clients. the fact that they are adjustable make them perfect for rental environments... you can lower them to fit a counter and make them taller for a bar height environment. The padded seats are very well cushioned and much more comfortable than a wood or metal seat alternative. They look like they came from Restoration Hardware, and are 3 times the price. Go for it, you won't be disappointed!

Comfortable and just the right size

After a thorough search, I'm happy with these stools for my new kitchen island. Comfortable, with a 16" diameter swivel seat being not too big, not too small, and adjustable in height (family members range from short to very tall, and island not yet built so its exact height is TBD). Love the footrest too. The fabric is a pretty beige/off-white color, and it was easy to protect with a spray fabric protection product. Arrived quickly and well-packaged. (If all the plastic wrap can't be pulled out from under the seat, just turn upside down and temporarily loosen the screws).

Old School Quality in New Times!

This reminds me of the old stools we had at the soda fountain when I was a kid. Really well built and very stylish. This stool or a whole set of them would be a welcome addition to any kitchen, bar, shop or attractive setting. I'm impressed with the nice styling and excellent quality of this stool. It's easily adjustable and the rotating seat goes up and down with ease with my 200+ lb torso sitting on it. I love it!

Not a cushioned seat

I was thinking it would be a softer seat, more rounded, but this seat is wide and flat. Nice color and design however, kind of an industrial as well as vintage look. It came ready to go right out of the box, well-packaged I might add. However, the spiral piece under the seat was oily (machine oil?) Nonetheless a nice piece of furniture but I would prefer a softer seat.
