I would buy this again and it is worth the cost

Exactly what we needed. Once it is together it is sturdy, functional and pleasant aesthetic. We bought two - the first one took about three hours to put together and the second less than 2 hours - making certain the drawers were correct was difficult with the instructions.

Nice and stylish bookcase

This is a very nice and stylish looking bookcase that I have in my office. I wish it was a little taller but it still looks nice and seems sturdy. It's not made of real wood but of particle board. We bought two of them but the other one had a damaged piece so we're in the middle of figuring out a replacement part (if possible). As for assembly, it took my husband about a couple hours to put together.

Using it as a memorial stand

Well made beautiful bookcase! Highly recommend!

We love this bookcase and how it changed the entire look of our dining room making it more homey, warm, and more of a library like atmosphere. It's extremely well made and will give us much pleasure for years to come.

luckily I'm pretty handy I managed to put it together but the instructions are kind of a joke.

Beautiful Conversation Piece!

I love this bookcase, only gave 4 stars because the back panel (which was a major attraction for me) had to be removed due to damage sustained during shipping. A second delivery was attempted, that one arrived with the back panel damaged worse than the first. Thankfully, Mr. Bielinski was able to offer a discount (which made me most appreciative). Also, I realize good help is really hard to find during these uncertain times, I was surprised to receive within 2 weeks instead of having to wait 14! Bottom line...you won't be disappointed with this purchase! Unfortunately, it won't allow me to upload a photo.

Worst assembly instructions ever! Colors are good and it's nice if you can get it put together.

Quality beyond our expectations

We bought this shelf for a particular place next to our fireplace, but we had mis-measured. We found another place for it and just love it. The quality is excellent. It arrived in great shape. Real solid wood, not pressboard, completely assembled.

WARNING...WARNING...Poor assembly instructions!

I have no idea why people are saying this item was easy to assemble. The instructions are terrible. The pieces are poorly marked as well as the screws. I have put together many different bookcases, shelves, dressers etc. and this is the worse I've seen. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. I am hoping for a refund but there's too many pieces to box back up and ship back!

The directions are Horrible!

The gray color is a shade darker then the picture. Its took a few hours to put together The directions that came with the item was only pictures. was not specific on what screw or piece to use. No part was labeled.

Overall nice but some construction issues

Purchased for my den. It's nice looking and overall I like it, but some issues prevent me from completely recommending.

I would love to rate it a 5 because it is practical and has modern clean lines that are pleasing to the eye. The problem was, the directions only came with pictures and no descriptions. This made the building process take longer than it would have and made experience frustrating. Lastly, although it looks sharp in the pictures when it's infront of you the quality looks cheap compressed wood, so be careful because it can downplay what ever vibe you might have going in your house.

Took hours to assemble.

Once finished the piece is great. I have put furniture together before but this was difficult to assemble. I would not recommend for a first time project. The drawers are tricky and I ended up going to the hardware store because I was short on hardware. Now that its finished I like a lot.

Love this ladder bookcase!

This ladder bookcase is a really nice piece. I love the color! It looks just like the picture shown. The reason for the 4 star rating is the time it took to assemble. The instructions were picture only. It took my very handy husband approximately 3 hours to complete. Other than that, the piece itself (once assembled) deserves 5 stars.

good to look at, but....

A nightmare to assemble, confusing directions and way too many parts. I finally had to have a pro put it together and it took him hours to figure out. The product isn't as sturdy as pictured and can't . . hold very much and I wanted book storage. In other words save your money, buy from a store so you know exactly what you are getting. This set cost $100 in labor for me plus the origanal price.

I love the look of this piece. I am so glad we bought this. The color works perfectly with our exiting furniture and I love all the shelving space. There's also 2 drawers that we use to store kids games and coloring books.

The assembly directions were vague and seemed daunting (and like there were a million parts), but it actually wasn’t terrible to get together once we got going. Purchased as the last piece of a nursery, and it matches the other furniture perfectly. This is exactly . . what I was looking for!
