BEWARE…they TEAR

I loved this pretty fabric and couldn’t wait to put these sheets on my bed. When I opened the package the sheets smelled very strongly of dye, but it did mostly go away after washing them. The sad part is that the fitted sheet ripped as I pulled it over the corner of my mattress. Not just a little…the entire length of the corner. There is. I way to contact customer service either…you will only get an automated chat. So I either drive an hour to return the sheets in person or pay $10 to ship them back to Macy’s. I feel jipped.

Not blue!

I was disappointed to see grey sheets with burnt-orange birds printed on them, rather than the lovely light french blue with red birds. These look like OK sheets, but I am returning them, because they don’t look inviting at all.

Cotton Flannel sheets 170-GSM

The sheets are soft and very pretty, but I expected a light blue background like the photo shows—the background is grey (I posted a photo). I bought full size—I think they would fit a queen bed because there is a LOT of material. I don’t have large pillows but if you do, there’s a nice feature of an extra length of material inside the pillowcases that would cover the end of the pillow. I recommend washing them before using them, which I didn’t do, because there’s a strange smell.

Great Flannel Sheet Set

I love this flannel sheet set. It is very cute with the birds, super soft, and the extra deep pocket fits my bed perfectly which has an extra pad on top. The pillow cases are a nice size too. I highly recommend this set. It is very well made.

So far, the Best Flannel Sheets my wife and I have ever had! So soft and Luxurious, the finish is far superior to any sheets we have ever found. They feel much thicker than they really are and are warmer and cozier than any others. It sounds like I'm laying my review on a little extra thick but after spending hundreds of hours over the years searching for sheets that I myself really like I actually enjoy going to bed now! The funniest thing is that I didn't find these during any of my extensive research jaunts online, my wife did her very first time out! She loved the print pattern and that was her main criteria for choosing them other than they be Flannel for a Cal King! When I ran across the two negative reviews stating the sheets stick together after washing and the print dye transfers to your skin after a night's sleep, I immediately said no way are we getting these. Through further logical thinking and finally determining since no other reviewer had confirmed those negatives, I concluded these weren't the sheets the negative reviews were talking about and ordered them. After two washings on the one set with neither of those "negatives" happened and totally impossible anyway because of the high quality, we purchased a 2nd set of a different pattern. My only complaint is, and it applies to 99.99% of all sheet makers that, ever since the "Cal King" bed entered the market many decades ago along with the "deeper" mattresses, no sheet designer has never figured out that since the Cal King is longer than the "King" and with mattresses up to 21" deep the Top Sheet has to be significantly longer than the "King" just to be able to tuck in effectively around the bottom of the mattress. But yet they are both 108" long and while just barely able to fit around a King mattress, they don't even reach the bottom of our "only 15" deep" mattress and therefore cannot be tucked in at all except a little bit at each corner. Except for that I would rate them perfect, if there was such a rating.

Everyone knows that the printed side of sheets go together on a bed, but no one makes a bed that way. We put the printed side of the flat sheet facing up. I have no problem with that except the non-printed side of these sheets is nowhere near as soft as the print side—a 3 rather than a 5. So I’ll have to explain to my husband why I made the bed “upside down.” Which again is really the correct way. Once through the wash and the flat sheet is clearly lighter than the fitted (see photo). Hopefully after a few more washes it won’t be as obvious. But we buy flannel sheets for the soft, and these sheets are wonderfully soft after one washing. And I don’t use fabric softeners (allergies). And the fitted sheet is well-fitted. We have just a ten-inch mattress and the fit is still very snug. However, it’s clear that it will fit deeper mattresses just as well. Bonus: the king pillowcases have a “pocket” for the open end of the pillow. A very nice clean look.
