I own two of these-love them!

Great lamp in my den next to my favorite reading chair. The silver/chrome finish goes well with the grey decor!

This lamp is pretty nice for my eclectic decor.. It seems cool and trendy, yet at the same time classic. It gives off a good amount of light. It was very easy to put together. I have only had it for a short while so I do not know how durable it is, but its seems like it will last a good while. I never had a lamp with a floor switch, so hopefully that will last.

Hard to assemble, poor design and quality

The tube that connects to the shade section and that contains the power cord comes in 2 separate pieces. Instructions say "thread shade section onto tube section". You can't do this because while there is a male threaded part on the shade section there are no threads in the female end of the tube section. Therefore, the shade section and the tube section are loose in the hole they pass through and the only thing holding them there is a nut that you're supposed to screw tightly against whichever tube it hits. Guaranteed to fall apart (in fact the lower tube did just that as I'm writing this). Also can't lower the shade section enough to avoid having it in your eyes because there's a ferrule on the shade section that stops its travel at 48", not 46". Shade also came bent at an odd angle and only a gorilla could bend the arm that holds the shade. Terrible design and quality.

A really solid and good quality floor lamp.

This floor lamp is easy to put together in a few minutes. Quality parts and heavy base. The lamp is very pretty and the lamp shade is made of quality fabric. The color blue of the shade and lamps center blue ceramic ball are very pretty. The only complaint I have is that there is a tiny dead bug inside the fabric in front of the shade and the top is a little damaged. I call Wal-Mart customer service and they are sending a new one no charge. Very pleased with customer service. The brass lamp is very solid. I would recommend this lamp.

Love this pharm pole lamp

I love it, my husband put it together said it was cheaply made , but easy to put together. I love it, when I go to pick it up it is very heavy. I love that the height is adjustable and you can adjust where the shade turns too. I'm sure most people don't care about this, but I love turning it on with the chain. My hands don't work so well any more and to pull the chain is easier for me. What can i say, I love it and I will be the one using it.

Tips over, overheats, no light adjustment

Nice-looking design. Not sure I will keep it. The lamp is not sufficeintly weighted at the bottom. It tips, which leads me to think eventually it will fall over & break. The shade seriously heats up, which combined with the tipping/falling over, might be a hazard. There is no way to adjust the blaring light level except by swithcing bulbs ~ and you would expect better than that at this price.

Stylish

Love everything about the style of the light. The one thing I will point out is that light is very stark because it is a bare bulb with a reflective background. If you are into ambient lighting, it may not be your cup of tea. I experimented with various wattages, and 40W is the best. It is awesome for reading, but it not a light you would want to light the room because it is very harsh and glaring.

Functional but lopsided

I got the lamp in the brass finish. The finish looks great, not too brassy/shiny, and while I've only used it a few times so far the light source itself is very good. The little metal handle near the lamp bulb cover appears to be just show as it doesn't seem to moveable to adjust the direction of the lighting. Also, the lamp's balance seems to be a bit off, titling to one side a bit. I put something underneath to prop it more upright and that solved the issue. Neither of the last two comments are deal breakers and since it looks nice and is bright I'm keeping it.
