In Love

I absolutely love this facialist peel! I got the mini version as the free gift and will definitely be buying the full size when the mini runs out. I have another popular mask that I like, but what I love about this one is that it is so easy! I find myself counting down the days until I can use it again. It is easy to put on, feels amazing on, smells like the spa, and is easy to wipe off. No mixing of ingredients, no mess to clean up, just a weekly treat I now don't want to live without. Thank you TB!

Jello Texture

I have combination skin. I definitely felt the tingle and it did not aggrevate my skin. Will continue using to see if there is any benefit. Did not notice immediate effects. It is a very jello texture, so not easy to apply without breaking down in your fingers first. Impossible to apply with the brush they sell.

Facialist Peel

This is one of my favorite True Botanical products! I have sensitive skin but this peel does not irritate it. My skin looks smooth like glass. I have received a lot compliments on my skin after I have done a treatment with it and many request for what products I use. I use other True Botanical products along with the Facialist Peel! I’m 60 and have been told I look like I’m in my 40’s/50’s!

Why is it lumpy?

I heard good things about this peel and was excited to try it. But the consistency is a hard no for me. It's like a gelatinous glob that is hard to spread and leaves clumps on the face. Social media shows it smooth & creamy. TB says it's normal and try rubbing it with your fingers first . I hope they work on this product because I don't want to rub a peel in my sensitive hands before applying to my face. Running globs on the face does not feel luxurious. It does tingle so sensitive skin may not want to use.

Very strong and gave me dermatitis

This felt very uncomfortable on my face the one time I used it and I developed a rash the next day. I thought it was simply irritated but it wouldn't go away. My dermatologist diagnosed it as perioral dermatitis which is a potentially chronic condition caused when the skin barrier is compromised. This can happen when exfoliation is too harsh or excessive. I reported this to True Botanicals. They took the info then disappeared and haven't answered my emails. The least they can do is refund me for the product after the unexpected results and medical bills.

Do not waste your money

When I applied this product, it felt like it was burning my skin. I recently tried to use it again after several months and found product had turned to a jello consistency which left it unusable.

Great at-home facial!

I've used this a few times so far and it definitely leaves me glassy and glowy after!

The BEST!

Absolutely amazing product with visible results. This strange, gelatinous balm works best for me if I smoosh it with my palm and fingers first before applying. So pleasantly surprised by the improvement in my overall texture and NO irritation on my hypersensitive skin. Last time I was at Credo, the girl next to me was desperate to snag the last jar--run don't walk!

Weird texture

I was so excited to receive the facialist peel as the complementary gift with my last subscription order. When it came I was very disappointed as the texture was an odd. It was jelled & I had to break it apart to apply to my face. I tried to smear the product on my face as best as I could. Leaving pieces of the jelled product on my face. I washed off with warm water and didn’t notice a change to my face. I’ve already been using true bontanicals facial oil, Chebula serum and the face wash for close to two years and love it! My skin looks so good and healthy. I would NOT recommend the facialist peel. I emailed support but they weren’t any help.

A medical peel that you get right at home!

From the moment I put it on, I could feel it burning with the tingling and burning. Just like what I would get at a professional spa. It was a little solid and all I had to do was warm up in my hands and apply it. I’m obsessed with this as a sample and I cannot wait to buy it. Skin looks so good!

Unbelievable! I’m hooked!

I’ve been working on my skin’s texture for a while and it’s been improving though it’s not terribly uneven to begin with. Decided to add this to my routine and I am just blown away. My skin is sensitive to other masks from other clean brands - they make my skin feel hot or red. This was such a gentle but effective mask. There is a slight sensation when applying it, but it quickly went away while the mask was on. Not to mention the smell is absolutely luxurious! Like a cucumber spa treatment! Washed it off and followed it up with my normal True Botanical line up (microbiome essence, chebula serum with vitamin C, pure radiance oil, and chebula extreme cream). Cannot believe the texture of my skin the next morning… like a baby’s butt lol! Needless to say this will become another TB staple for me going forward!

Irritation, redness, burning

I used the sample that was sent to me as part my subscription. As soon as I put it on my face it was stinging near my jaw line and I saw a red patch appear almost instantly near my chin. I left it on for 4 mins bc the box said tingling may occur. I didn’t feel comfortable keeping it on for the full 10-15 mins. I put my usual TB products such as calm oil, nightly repair serum and overnight mask cream and eye serum. My face is still slightly stinging along my jaw line and redness in patches about 30 mins later. I use all TB products and am very disappointed in what this product did to my face. Not sure what I should do now with my skin so that it heals.

I Love how it tightens and brightens my skin. This is the only mask I have ever used that I actually gives me visible results that lasts a few days ! It is easy to use while my husband and I are having coffee in the morning, he is not looking at a weird coating on my face it looks relatively clear, then I remove it with water or a face cloth after 15 minutes, apply protective serum and tinted moisturizer ready for a bit of makeup or the day !

Use once a week in-between facials

I get professional facials every 4-6 weeks, and I use this once a week in-between. My esthetician using something similar but professional strength, and I learned from her that the nights I use this I should not apply any moisturizer after rinsing this off. I wake up with my normally oily skin looking matte and perfectly clear. I am in love with this mask!

Birthday gift to myself.

I recently turned 53 and treated myself to some new skincare. I liked the idea of this mask so bought it. I've used it twice so far and my skin looks like "glass" skin afterwards. I even had someone say to me "You look good. What have you done?" Because I live in a sunny area, I try not to over-use. I use on my face, neck & declote a couple times a month. Great idea to do before a special event or birthday!

Nice but could be a bit stronger

The product works nicely, but haven’t significant results with 2 applications. Im sure with time I will see them. Im liking it! The one thing I really disliked is the SCENT you use in this peel, it’s BAD and too penetrating! It smells like a 1980s old lady perfume. Besides, these products are supposed to be CLEAN of toxics, there should be no scent at all or use a much sudden one.

Way Too Strong - Defective Product?

I use many TB products and love them. Wanted glass skin so I ordered this peel. First, the fumes surprised me but I didn't notice until I put it on my skin. I had the jar on the counter and used a spatula. Once on my skin it started burning like crazy and the fumes were like ammonia. I quickly removed it and luckily did not have any reaction on my skin. I emailed TB 3 times about this and did not get a response to any of my emails. My skin IS sensitive but this was ridiculous. Proceed with caution.

it's amazing! i love it because it doesn't work or act like the usual "peel" or "mask"--it doesn't suck up my face before freeing it. It's gentle and also so very effective. I always feel younger and more beautiful when I take the time to add it to my regimen.

LOVE this peel.

I am about a month in with regular weekly use and I really love this peel. I have extremely dry skin and live in a very dry climate, so I find regular chemical peels necessary to keep dry skin from accumulating and causing texture. I have tried a variety of other brands but really love the formula on this one. My skin is looking way more glowy and smooth. A little tingly, but nothing uncomfortable. I have tried a few products from True Botanicals and this is my favorite. My skin does not like the Ginger cleansing balm, interestingly.
