Great Bookcase that's easy to put together
I wanted a bookcase for my office. This looked so great that I put it in our bedroom since I'm creating a reading area for myself. The shelves are spaced far enough apart that taller books can be added.
Missing Parts!!!!
Bookcase came without any of the screws or feet. Package had clearly been previously returned. Extremely disappointed that this was shipped out missing parts and I cannot even begin to assemble this bookcase.
Very sturdy
Exactly as described. My 12 year old grandson assembled this unit. It does not wobble and is a very sturdy, solid piece of furnture. He uses it to display part of his Lego collection but I'm confident it could be used to hold heavier items. I Highly recommend and gladly give it five stars.
Waste of $100 and your time
This shelf had such low quality control. When assembling we found the wood hadn’t been cut correctly and the holes for the screws were all of center. We powered through and completed it anyway, only to find that it outright wobbles at the slightest pressure on either side. This is not a quality product even for the price and you should look elsewhere.
Easy to assemble, nice height for my son’s room (the width is perfect for the space between two windows) and the amount of books it can handle is great. He needed a narrow bookcase that could hold all his school books, and this was a perfect one for his room. The finish was good, no blemishes, and the metal was sturdy. Great bookcase for the price. Plus shipping was really quick.
Not Worth the Money
The frame is not square, which makes (1) it wobbly/both legs do not sit flush on the floor, and (2) the shelves not fit squarely into the frame. All screws went in and we didn't force anything, so I do believe its the parts, not our assembly. It looks good assembled, but it wobbles to the touch and the shelves have gaps between the wood and frame.
It’s a good sturdy shelf. I ordered it in the gray and it coordinates really well with my other furniture so it was a good choice for me. It was super easy to assemble. Just make sure you place all the frame pieces together before tightening the screws. After the frame is secure just add the shelves and foot pegs and that’s it
Didn't meet previous experiences with Carbon Loft.
This is a very unsteady item. Flimsy is a perfect description. No way it can support books. It didn't match the photo - had black painted shelves, not wood. We returned it.
Pay Attention to Assembly Instructions
I ordered three sets, and, of course, it got easier after the first one. Units are sturdy and look nice. Assembly on the first try was moderately difficult (and tedious) with 42 screws which the hex tool provided is of little to no help (it will work; it'll just take you forever). Important thing to remember is to not tighten screws until the frame is put together and everything is aligned. Once done, the shelves feel solid and look nice.
Attractive and sturdy
This bookshelf is very attractive and sturdy. It holds books and baskets filled with various items. I have packed it full with a variety of small and large books. Thus far there has been no issues with it holding up the weight. I love the appearance of the sides on the case because they are eye appealing and make the shelf look airy compared to the solid sided bookshelves.
I have already bought this product twice
I needed some short bookcases to go with another larger bookcase. I originally bought one and realized that another one would give me a complete look. So, I purchased a second one to complete my library. Very easy to assemble and very sturdy. It is also a very cute look and it matches my décor to the ninth.
Beautiful piece, but not as sturdy as expected
Love the look of this bookshelf. I purchased it for medical textbooks, and unfortunately it’s fairly unsturdy with all the extra weight. I’ve tried redistributing the weight and it still leans to one one side or the other. There are no crossbars included for the back to keep it square. As a decorate shelf as shown in the stock picture, I’m sure it would be perfect.
Very Nice Looking, Sturdy Shelf
After looking all over for a shelf that had to fit in a specific area in my son's bedroom, I found this one. While all the parts seemed a little intimidating out of the box, it was not incredibly difficult to assemble. There was only one screw-in piece at the bottom that was difficult to deal with. Once done, it looked very nice. It's sturdy and my son is very pleased with it... a win for mom!
Design change???
This is a great shelf but when I got to the top shelf and tried to attach it the bolts they send are not long enough. There may have been a design change because the top shelf sits on top rather then into the base like the three other shelves. So at the moment the top is not connected. Ok lol just go to the hardware store and get longer screws but kind of annoying...
Good bookshelf
Overall a great book shelf. The faux birch is a nice gray color and it looks pretty good for laminated MDF. It comes with wall hooks for safety, and I'd highly suggest using those if you have kids or crazy animals. The bookshelf is only about 90% study. Its easy to put together if you have an adaptor on your drill for an allen bit. Still easy without, just takes 20min instead of 2min.
Compact bookcase
This is a compact bookshelf that fits perfectly in my room. It looks good. The shelves themselves would be nice if they were a little thicker. I think that would fit better with the industrial look. Overall though, I like them.
The bookcase is just what I needed. I like the mixture of metal and wood. It was somewhat difficult to put together because the screw holes were so close to the sides. That made it hard to turn the Allen wrench and the holes did not line up exactly. After getting it together I like it and it is perfect for my space.
Sturdy, easy ot put together
This book shelf was easy to put together and looks just fine in my bedroom. I have it loaded with books on all three shelves and a TV on top and it is holding up quite well. It is often difficult to discern quality of an item such as this from a pic. I would say this is worth what I paid for it. If I was placing this in a more public area of my home, I would likely have not kept it, though it is attractive enough.
Sturdy and easy to assemble. Looks nice too!
Very easy to assemble. The item viewed online matches what I received. The shelves themselves are very sturdy. I’ve used the shelf for my craft room. It holds my jewelry making supplies nicely. I would definitely purchase again!
I was looking for a short petite bookshelf to tuck under a 1/2 wall and this did the trick. I purchased this in white, and it turned out great. This seems to have an MDF wood quality, but it was perfect for the little girl's room it went into. Steady and stable and it came with hardware to attach it into the wall, so that it would not tip over. Perfect for baskets and books.
