Material and design is really nice. Frame is sturdy. Color and description is accurate.

I was looking for something a little different and loved the gray and brass colors together. The brushed gold is a beautiful color with a beautiful complement to the gray tone. I was so happy with the colors that I was eager to find another faucet that matched on Overstock and found it!

This Avanity bath vanity cabinet is a classy piece of furniture for a classy bathroom. First, this piece is shipped in a package that is so well protected that you'd have to stick a spear through the box to get at it to do damage. Next, the cabinet is so well built I think you could set your Chevy engine on top for an overhaul and never worry about breaking it. The finish is superb, all the drawers and doors have soft close hinges plus, the drawer and door faces have a brushed stainless trim on all four edges. That adds a real quality look to this piece. Too bad it does not come with a nice marble top. If you want an upgrade in your bathroom, this vanity will do it.

The Allie 42 in. vanity delivers on all its claims: A simple design, a solid birch wood frame with plywood drawers, dovetail joints, a toe kick bottom AND soft-close glides and hinges. The quality of construction is obvious: no MDF or particle board here!. The fold out and pull out drawers work smoothly and there is a large open, bottom shelf giving me plenty of storage. You will also sense the pride Avanity and its employees share when you see how WELL PACKAGED the unit is when it arrives at your door. Really, really amazing job of caring for the vanity once it leaves their 'shop'. I like the minimalist design, operation of the drawers and SPACE to install plumbing (see pix). I consider the plywood construction a 'plus' over other manufactured woods that are prone to warping/disintegrating over time!! It always feels good to find a product you can believe in ...and Avanity's 'Allie' is one of those products

So yes, this is not an inexpensive vanity. But spend a minute or two with it and you'll see what sets it apart from so many of the other $500-and-under models out there. First, it's solid, with wood corner bracing and a satisfying closure on the drawers & bins. It's also fully-painted, so none of that wood-grain laminate over particle-board to muck up the appearance of the interior of the cabinet. It's this sort of attention to detail, from the finish to the design, that make the difference. The structure of the base gives the vanity a floating appearance, although it does sit on the floor and with a second, slightly smaller base structure to keep it steady. With a lot of cabinets, what appears to be an upper drawer is just non-functional decoration due to the top / sink intruding into the upper space of the cabinet, but with this the uppers are functional tilt-out bins, with two drawers underneath. The open space below keeps the vanity from overwhelming the space, but is also functional for towel storage, etc.

Fantastic Vanity

I love this vanity! It is modern, sleek and was a great choice for my hall bathroom. Because I do not have powder rooom (1/2 bath for guests) I wanted to update my hall full bath to look more inviting. The Avanity Vanity is a beautiful dark gray/chrome color with a sleek modern look. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five was because my contractor complained that there was not much room for the plumbing and he had to cut a wider area underneath.
