NOT WATERPROOF AS STATED!

This item, described as a ‘waterproof’ mattress pad, is NOT WATERPROOF! The company refuses to refund unless I return it; I am not going to wash it to return (it has cat urine on it) but throw it away.

Perfect Protection

I got these for my boys who every now and then, have an accident in the bed. I like that they are like a mattress sheet and easy to remove. My dog had an accident on the bed just this morning and saved the mattress. The pee did not go through.

I have yet to test its waterproof abilities, however, it feels great (not plasticky) and looks great too especially for guest room. I found mattress protection is a must especially after spilling something twice. Learned my lesson and buy protection for all new mattresses. I have another one to compare and this one definitely looks more expensive.

Horrible, filthy, and smells. I was so anxious to get this for summer, opened it, washed it. When I opened the washer there were brown and black streaks of stuff within or under fabric that couldn’t be seen when it was dry. There were pieces of black and brown fuzzy stuff on the outside edges with what looked like hair mixed in. My washer was disgusting inside-I ran 3 cycles with Clorox. Need I say more!

Not waterproof

I got two of these because I have a cat that thinks outside the box and frequently pees on my bed. They came and I put one on. After a few days, sure enough, he peed on the bed again. No problem, thought I, as I stripped the new waterproof mattress protector off, and felt the mattress. It was damp, and smelled like cat pee. I suppose it wasn't as wet as it would have been otherwise, but to me, "waterproof" means it should have been dry.
