The stand is very nice ascetically, however it does not weight enough to hold the umbrella in place on the ground with a light wind.

Umbrella Base for BIG Umbrellas
This is a very well constructed umbrella base. However the diameter is bigger than any of my umbrellas so my umbrella doesn't fit it very well and is wobbly. This must be for HUGE umbrella's - not standard size.

This is a good product, however it is meant for a larger umbrella diameter than the umbrella I inserted. It was hard for my umbrella to fit securely and I think my umbrella is standard size,
Tips over
I've now had 2 different patio umbrellas used with this base and it will tip over with just a slight breeze. It is not heavy enough to hold even a light umbrella and there is no way to add any weight to the bottom.
