Not 4”

Nice lights, well made and working great. 4” hole saw doesn’t work without cutting a few notches for the wire block and two screw heads. Buy a 4 1/8” hole saw and you should be good.

[Rewarded Review] Maxax 4 in. Canless Ultra-Thin 9-Watt CCT 5000K Remodel Integrated LED Recessed Light Kit (6-Pack)

A strong contender for the quickest simplest light fixture installation ever. These 4-inch lights are super wall washers, accent lights, task lights, under cabinet lights, curio lights; and await one’s further imagination where to use them. Installation took only a moment longer than did my setting up one of these to test light it. I like the 500k bright daylight illumination. Though I’ve not yet dimmed them, the product listing specifies a number of reliably made dimmers said to be compatible. The 6-pack is a great dispenser for going straight to the jobsite with little packaging waste and ready accessibility. See Photo 1. The cutout template and instructions are right on top. Each unit consists of the light with remodel clips and the junction box into which it plugs. See Photo 2. The junction box can be affixed as I did for my basement overhead installs (See Photo 3.), but also, they are light enough merely to stow above the ceiling finish. Springing the remodel clips allows one to position the supplied air-sealing gasket before pushing the fixture into the opening. See Photo 4A. One in-place, the protective ply-film can be pulled off the face. See Photo 4B. Electrical connections are easy. See Photo 5. Note that Wago-style connectors are provided. They work well with the small gauge lead conductors within the limited confines of the box. The fixture’s 87 lumens per watt efficacy makes a big impression on a darkened room at my test bench. See Photo 6. These lights are an efficient and powerful way to install well-dispersed ambient lighting or focused task lighting conveniently and timely.

[Rewarded Review] Great slim lights

I needed a new light for my shed because I'm tired of replacing 8' fluorescent lights. This 6 pack of ultra thin 4" LED can lights worked perfect. I installed them on 3/8" plywood and screwed them to my trusses. I wired them with 14/2 ROMEX, and with the supplied connectors install was simple, and it worked out perfect. The quick disconnect allows you to mount the light box and put the light in at a later time. The 3000K gives off a warm light and lights up my 110sq ft shed very well.

[Rewarded Review] Easy to install, good value

These put out nearly the same output as a traditional 60W bulb and can be dimmed. They are nice looking with an easy to install design. Some of the installation features are quick connects for the wiring inside the junction box, a flip up lid that does not require tools to open/close the box, 3 knock-outs on the junction box, a polarized connector wire to quickly connect the box to the light, and springs that will quickly hold the light up against the ceiling.

[Rewarded Review] Maxax 4 inch canless ultra thin LED

I ordered the 6-pack maxax 4 inch canless ultra thin recessed LED lights. They are well built and straight forward to install. They use 9 watts and produce 780 lumens of brightness. The light color temperature is 3000K warm white. Model number is MX4-9RD. They are dimmable. They are IC rated. They are sealed but not meant to be used in a wet location. We really like these lights, they look great in our spare bedroom.
