It really pulls the room together

I love this rug!! We got the green tones and it is so cool. It is really fun to look at and it makes me happy. People who haven't been here in a while always say it is the perfect touch. The 10x16 size is quite impressive in our living room. The furniture sits with all legs on the rug, so there's no wobble or slipping. I did use Alien Tape around the edges and corners to keep them from rolling and to prevent clumsy accidents. This is not a thick, dense rug. It's somewhat thin, but soft. Realistically, it can only be as soft as the floor beneath it, so plan ahead and get a good rug pad. I reccommend going to a carpet store and buying your pad cut to fit. A 12 x 25 pad is only about 30 bucks and it will make the rug feel more plush. I wish I would have done that first, but that's a job for another day. Anyway, it vacuums like a dream and shows almost nothing. This is great because we have a short-haired dog who sheds non-stop. Our previous area rug was gray, and his hair gave it a yellowish cast. Not so with this beauty. The colors go with darn near everything, too. I have gold velvet drapes for winter, which look surprisingly fantastic with the greens and golds in the rug. I have olive and gold throw pillows on the sofa and a couple of random turquoise and orange toss pillows. The rug has a mid-century modern / brutalist feel to it, which is how our decor leans. It took about 2 days to lie completely flat. The only thing I wish I would have done differently is to have put a nice carpet pad underneath instead of just a non-slip rug mat.
