I absolutely love these. Very sturdy. You will definitely need to hang these with the correct hardware.

It is not clear that the spec 12" will NOT accommodate a 12" board. For a relatively expensive item, the specs could be more precise e.g. "2 x 7 x 12" to hold a 10" wide board"

Inconsistent dimensions for screw holes

I bought 6 brackets total buying 2 first to see how i liked them. I used the first brackets to rough in the placement of the two nee sets i planed to buy. Wouldnt you know the machined holes for the screws are different dimensions. The measurements i used are no good. Its an inconvenience at most but you should use the same dimensions. Poor QC. Will look for other options going forward.

We used thes brackets to create open shelving in our kitchen. They look great, are burley and were easy to install. We like that the bracket disappears once we put things on the shelves.

Final impression

These babies are installed into a metal beam. I can hang from them. The steel itself is 1/4” thick. Once the shelf was on I realized that there is an industrial vibe. ❤️❤️❤️

The single star goes to Home Depot. The picture is misleading. The bracket is unfinished with blackened rough steel look. The pictures depicts the bracket as one smooth color. Shame on HD!

The bracket is listed as 8 however that is the length of the entire bracket! It will not hold shelves that are 8 wide. The interior bracket depth is actually 7.25. Why anyone would list the depth as the entire bracket rather than the size of shelf the bracket will hold is baffling and destined to cause problems for everyone. Once you go to all the trouble of either trimming your shelf boards, which I did, or re-ordering shelves the brackets work fine.

Not Stainless - misleading product description

This item is most assuredly NOT stainless. It's regular zinc plated steel. If you need it to be actually stainless, find something else. It is very sturdy though, so it has that in its favor.

Nice but edges are very sharp

These are nice and heavy duty however it would be nice if they buffed the edges a bit. They are very sharp and will cut you.
