Bed is beautiful and sturdy but assembly instructions were sub-par — there was a typo in the drawing legend, and an important piece of information missing in step one (do not tighten screws!) resulted in unnecessary complications when I tried to fix the error later. That said, I was able to assemble a Cali king bed on my own, and though the instructions were poor, the design was intuitive. Don’t worry if some pieces are a bit wonky. Misplaced pad on leg support was easily moved, and if support is a bit bowed and doesn’t lie flat that’s normal for wood products, and the weight of your mattress will fix it. . Just really wish they’d included in product description full dimensions (including floor to top of slats) or at least a recommended mattress width. Mine was a bit too thick so it doesn’t look as good, it hides too much of the headboard. Bed is great though, solid, well made, good design. Less

A beautiful frame; however, prospective buyers should be aware that ....
We bought this frame and it's beautiful, no doubt about it! Unfortunately for us, we had to return it. Prospective buyers should be aware that depending on the size of their mattress, it could completely fill the bed frame. We realized this when we put our new Model 9 (11.5" high) mattress on it. The sides of the bed frame also have just enough of a 'lip' that our mattress very snugly tucked right underneath it, making it quite awkward and uncomfortable for us to get our fingers underneath the mattress to put sheets on and make the bed. There was literally no space between our mattress and the sides of the frame. We couldn't see ourselves struggling with it for the next 10+ years, so had to return the frame.

This bed is beautiful. It was pretty simple to put together. Giving it three stars because one of the holes was drilled in the wrong place. In one corner, my bed is held together with only one screw.
