Perfect for my needs. I can easily move it when the sun is too bright or I need the space in the room. The wheels spin in any direction making movement slick. The large desk area allows for two screens, a keyboard and an in box and my coffee with no problem. Added bonus is the maple/white combo matches my home. Building it required some brain effort as there are no written instructions and no video. The pictures work, but like any buildable furniture, there will be some mistakes and back pedaling. But in the end it was worth it. Very pleased.

Adjustable-Height standing desk review/issue

The setup process was actually less challenging then I expected...the directions were clear and the necessary hardware was included...that part was fine (the desktop is very nice and seems to be good quality bamboo). However, One issue...I have the crank handle version and the rise/lower function when cranked from the side of the desk only lifts/lowers the side being cranked. The front cranking option only seems to lower (left and right) but does not raise the desk. So, my solution is to raise on one side a few turns...then use the other side (which i don't think was intended for cranking but does allow the crank to be inserted) and crank that side a few turns...and back and forth until the desk is at desired level (up or down). When i was putting the desk together i really checked that internal mechanism too be sure it raised lowered (of course desk was upside down at that point as i was putting it together) and all seemed to operate smoothly. Taking the desk apart is not a desired option at this point...but I am wondering what advice/assist you can provide. Maybe you could send me a second crank handle so that i have one on each side just to simplify things going forward ? welcome your help...I basically think the desk is as good as advertised, but the up/down cranking function/mechanism is not working as intended. thanks.

After the assembling of the

After the assembling of the whole desk. With the wheels on, the height of the desk is taller than my wife’s desk that is identical to mine. By the way she bought the same desk about two years ago from you guys the same company that I purchased my desk. I came to realize the frame of my desk is taller. I do not have a choice but to remove the wheels to put in the little height adjuster that came with the package to lower the desk to fit me. That part I was disappointed and not happy. While I am putting the cranking mechanism together, I feel it’s flimsy. The metal envelope that cover the mechanism and support the desk in my package was three pieces with small nuts and big holes compared to my wife’s desk it was one whole piece and bigger, her is more rigid than mine. My wife’s desk has two metal bars, front and back, horizontally to make her desk more stronger but it is missing on my desk. I am only happy with my desk if I have nothing to compare. But comparing to my wife’s desk, I realize the metal frame that came with the package is made for both 48 inches and 60 inches desk. The whole assembly of my desk is weaker compared to my wife’s desk because the rest of the framing of my desk is smaller. It is a shame I feel like I pay either the same or more but I received less. Once again I need to emphasize that the integrity of this desk but mostly your company name is compromise. I feel like you guys cut corners, that’s why I gave it three stars. Originally I cannot decided giving it between five and four stars, as I am writing this review I even feel like dropping it two stars. I hope this review reach somebody instead of just sitting here in this box. My older son told me to disassemble it and return it back to the company. To me it is a pain because it took me a half day to put it together and I need to work because of COVID-19. It will take me another half day put them together and ship it back to you guys for refund. You guys do not make it easy for people like us.

Very satisfied...

Desk is solid, operates smoothly, works well for my height at 5’11” with more range available for someone taller. Attractive and solid with no wobble. Bought the 60” desk. Assembly went smoothly. Delivery was fast, although packing for the legs was gouged pretty severely, the contents survived because the parts are steel and were well protected. Crank operation is smooth...and if correctly installed operates the entire desk. You don’t have to crank both sides. Operation of crank is smooth and effortless. Quite happy to not have to plug in the desk! Very satisfied. Most versatile desk I have ever had either at work or at home. Had for over a month. I use it without the wheels and it drops easily to a chair level.

Five stars

Packages came complete, intact, undamaged. Desk assembled seamlessly, no parts missing. Hand crank works. Sturdy, stable, no flex in the legs. I fit all parts with screws only to depth, but not tightened, and then iteratively and gradually tightened screws all around. The result is a rock solid assembly. Sure, you could break it if you dropped a truck on it. The reviews for the electronic standing desks had too many complaints about the height presents not working and requiring unplugging, resets and other nonsense to make them work. So I chose hand crank. I take the hand crank out after each use so it doesn’t get accidentally jostled and bent.

Received 2 damaged desks (so far) and their handling of the situation has been terrible

2 desks have been shipped to me and both of them have been damaged. The first one was missing a part too. When I asked for a replacement desk top for the first damaged desk I was told they couldn’t ship just the missing part and the replacement for the damaged desk top and they had to ship the whole desk again, and that I had to find a way to ship the parts back I didn’t need, but their packaging was so cheap it is unusable. The second one was also damaged in the same way on the desk top (dropped on the corner and smashed it). I’m now waiting to see if I can get another replacement (I sure hope just the parts I need this time) and how they are going to get the damaged/unusable desks back. I needed this desk by tomorrow, which is why it was ordered more than 2 weeks ago, but bow that won’t happens. The shipment packaging is cheap and doesn’t protect the desk well at all in shipment. I have another desk from here and it has been great. This whole experience has been awful so far. The product might be good, but I may never know if they can’t figure out how to ship a desk that isn’t damaged. I’m also hoping this time they can just send the parts I need and not a 3rd full desk!

Pretty good, beware of shipping damage though

The desk itself is great. I got the 56" version and it's huuuuge. The crank isn't the whisper-smooth no-resistance experience I'd imagined it to be, but it's not hard to use at all.

OK

Great function, good looking when finally put together and almost straightened out. Assembly a bit of a thrash. Customer support a bit sloppy. I had assembly done by a guy who is good with such things. Legs splayed out to the sides like a drunken flamingo. Much fiddling got the crookedness reduced but still visibly out of plumb. Called customer service, she talked to tech support, relayed response: Crooked legs "normal" but not to worry, table is strong nevertheless. Since the product appeared half-arsed, I asked for a 50% refund. That finally got an email response directly from what I assumed was a technical person, who gave a fairly good explanation of why the legs can be crooked and how to minimize this: They build in extra play in the fastenings for joining the legs to the tabletop, since they are shipped separately and because the same legs must fit tabletops of differing lengths. I don't recall the rest but it was sufficient info for my assembler get the legs straight enough that the table was no longer embarrassing. Nothing in the original assembly instructions about all this. All kinds of energy put into getting the sale, not enough concern for the customer.

Great Desk

I wanted a standing desk that was simple with clean lines, and this product fits perfectly. The finish of the base and the table top is flawless. It was packaged well and arrived without damage.

Not impressed

Purchased this desk for the sole reason it was a stand up desk that you could adjust up and down. I purchased the 60" desk because I use two 32" monitors and needed the space. Put it together easy enough and the frame is metal and solid. The ends are connected by a hexagon shaped rod so that you only have the "crank" one end and the other will adjust with it, keeping it level. Well, the rod system doesn't work at all as you need to crank both ends a few inches at a time and use a level to make sure the surface stays level. I have it adjusted in it's raised position and I leave it there so I don't have to mess with the level. My co-worker bought the same desk at the same time and had the same results that I did. The system will need to be re-engineered in order to make both ends adjust at the same time - at least on the 60". Not sure about he smaller models.

I'm standing at this desk

I'm standing at this desk as I write this review. The metal parts are heavy, but I was able to put it together without any help in less than one hour's time. It cranks up and down easily - I would add that I have the crank on the side, which provides a more direct link with the mechanism and feels more solid, and if the crank is on the front, it seems a bit more delicate - it turns a shaft that then turns the main shaft. But it works well either way. I saved money by buying just the frame and adding my own table top; the Ikea Linnmon is the right length (59") and has pre-drilled holes that line up with the holes on the frame. I wish the surface was able to get down a couple of inches lower at the lowest - I am using the optional round feet, and it only goes down to 30.75. If you use the optional casters, the lowest would be about 3" higher than that, so close to 34". I like the hand crank - no energy use, a more reliable mechanism, and hey - the whole point of having an adjustable just is to get off your duff periodically, and reaching over to turn the crank is a good way to take a break and move your body. I'm now sitting at the desk as I finish this review, having easily cranked it down again. Love the desk. -Patty

I'm sure there are other

I'm sure there are other stores who provide great standup desks, but I have to admit, this one went beyond the call of duty. I have wanted a standup desk for a long time, but most of them were so expensive. I also knew that I wanted to do my own top. So when I found that I could order just the stand, provide my own top, and then have it shipped for a reasonable price (after a bit of discussion), then I jumped at the chance. And let me tell you, it's wonderful. The craftsmanship (so far, anyway) is superb. It's sturdy and substantial. Moreover, the crank model I ordered, lifts with ease, and it has two large monitors and an extra heavy desk top. They shipped it quickly, answered all my questions, and followed up to see how I liked my purchase. Thank you, StandupDeskStore!

Wow!!! Fantastic Desk!. I don't

Wow!!! Fantastic Desk!. I don't know where to start, the ordering process, delivery, packaging, installation, and actual desk are FANTASTIC!! I ordered the desk on a late Sunday evening and it showed up at my door on Wednesday, all with standard delivery. The packaging was done very well in that there was lots of protection, however very easy to unpack. I've put together many pieces of furniture over the years, and this by far was the easiest, very intuitive and practically did not need the instructions. Took me on my own less than an hour for complete installation, and 20 minutes of that was my unpacking the boxes and laying out the pieces and parts in an orderly fashion before starting. I'm a larger fit male, so two people might be needed at times during the install. Now the BEST part is the actual desk itself. The manual crank works flawlessly and it is exceptionally easy to raise and lower the desk, plus the wheels work great for moving the desk around, and they lock in place for a sturdy platform. I ordered the larger desk, the 60 incher, and am thrilled I did, as it works perfect for having a lamp, plus computer equipment and room for writing and a phone. I picked mine up on sale, so if you have the chance to get it on sale, better pick one up while they last at this price. I had rigged up a temporary stand up desk for about 6 months to see if I would reap the benefits of a stand-up desk, and I saw a huge improvement in how my back and body felt inside of two weeks. To start I would stand for the entire morning only, then gradually shifted to the entire day. I have experienced an amazing transformation in how I feel, and I just wished I had picked this desk up sooner! Good luck with your purchase, you can't go wrong with this one.

I am more excited about

I am more excited about my new stand up desk than anything IÕve gotten, except my ÒAll NewÓ Volvo KC 90.. MY NEW STAND UP DESKI am more excited about my new stand up desk than anything IÕve gotten, except my ÒAll NewÓ Volvo KC 90. And for reason I donÕt understand, I feel compelled to share the event with you. I got it because it may be the healthy thing to do. I bought it for $422, including shipping through Amazon from the Stand Up Desk Store, which seems to also be itÕs manufacturer, though thereÕs no manufacturers name on the desk or the assembly instructions. The desktop was cracked on arrival, but I called them, they were great and got me a new one in two or three days.Oh yes, and I can hand crank it up or down to sitting level. Might get the motor for the crank, because itÕs not an immediate up down process, but maybe I can use the cranking exercise. Two of my grad students, Justin and Jenna, helped me assemble it--Justin because he canÕt say ÒnoÓ to his doctoral advisor and Jenna because she canÕt resist the opportunity to assemble furniture. And to say, they helped me, may not be quite right they assembled it and managed to prevent me from screwing up the process. I did unpack its three large packages all by myself, though, and am proud of that. And, oh yes, based on the 45 minutes IÕve used it so far, I love it and I still have the option to crank it down to sitting level, either now and then or permanently, depending. Thank you, Stand Up Desk Store.
