Terrible instructions and confusing hardware

The instructions are the bare minimum, basically a diagram of the assembled rail from the side. Not showing the assembly process, mind you, just showing the end result you have to arrive at. And zero instructions for the hardware like: for concrete use the metric-sized bolts with american sized drill bit, by converting the number systems yourself and hoping they match! Good luck! Other reviewers said the item rusts and splits, and add in cost of buying american-sized hardware/drill-bit.

The rail is nice but the base is very small which makes it difficult to install.

To install in the concrete, I had to buy new masonry bit. Their hardware is 10 mm. It turns out 3/8 is close enough. One of their expansion boats was missing a piece. A second one, fell apart in the hole and was unusable, not a problem, three bolts hold just fine. I had to do this myself, so I made a template out of cardboard of the base plate of the railing so I knew where to put the four holes. It’s a very pretty railing. Your wife will approve.
