Good balance of features and value

This Victrola unit looks really nice and seems solidly built. Obviously not real wood at this price point, but the faux wood pattern is clean and smooth. The unit was much larger than I expected, but that’s my fault for not checking dimensions first. One thing that annoys me about it is that you can’t get a true fade out on the radio volume. For instance say there are audio levels 0-10. When you get the dial down to 3 it goes completely mute. You can’t get to 2 or 1. This is only true for the Radio function - the other modes don't have the issue. Overall a nice piece that I’m happy with.

[Rewarded Review] Mehhh

It's bigger than I expected, even after looking at the photos. I had planned to keep it though because I liked that it had a CD and cassette player built in, but I eventually decided to return it because the sound was muffled and didn't even get a loud as a portable suitcase vinyl player that I purchased a while back---not even when turned to the max. I wanted to like it so bad, especially due to the vintage design, but for the price point I couldn't justify keeping it with those shortcomings :(

[Rewarded Review] Used or damaged

Placed the order online thru Best Buy. Opened the box and the plastic bag was torn. I pulled the stereo out and the turntable came completely off. This was either used or returned as a damage. The box was not damaged. So, that tells me this wasn’t broken during transit.

[Rewarded Review] Average at Best

While its an average records player with a Victrola names slapped on it, it does what is is supposed to do. It came well packaged and ready to play right out of the box, there was no need to adjust tone arm for balance.

I waited a while to see how this would fair...I never understood why people leave just "star reviews" w/o any explanation.....or w/little or no use of what they're reviewing. Now that my rant is out of the way I'll admit to being (mostly) pleasantly surprised by this Vic machine. I have a lil Crosley, but this is much nicer, altho this one has many more features. The quality of sound w/decent volume options sounds pretty good. Keep in mind this is not a high-falootin' audiophile contraption. The green-tooth, er, blue-tooth feature worked well w/my iPhone no matter where I was in my house....altho it's not a big place. CD player seems to work well w/no problems so far. I also purchased their matching stand that compliments it well-altho by no means a high end piece of furniture....holds the records below upright.
