true to description. Very solid, sturdy! One problem, stools in general always get wobbly; the feet are affixed and can not be adjusted, adjusted to offset uneven floors or wobbliness.

Mom and Dad don't care for these-- think they look too "Industrial" but i think they add a nice farm house modern touch. They're not uncomfortable and the dark wood + dark silver/gray metallic color works well with our kitchen. Not too shiny, not too dull, not too dark.

The chairs look nice but will be returning. I was extremely upset to go through the whole process of finding the right chairs, purchasing, waiting for them to arrive and then unboxing them to set up with a big warning label underneath, “WARNING! These stools were the perfect size for my counter high island. They are small enough to tuck right under my counter and I love the distressed look. Goes great in my home.
