Not easy to assemble as advertised

Where do I start? I have put together a LOT of assembly furniture. I read directions well. These chairs are a beast to put together. The screw hole locations are very difficult to get into. The wrench is always at an awkward angle. And the chair seat was not even. I took it apart and put it together twice to make sure I was doing it right and still the seat is not sitting properly. Very uneven. This was the most frustrating piece of furniture I have ever put together. I will have to take it apart again tomorrow and try again. It is not useable as it is now.

the chairs are fine. just what you expect. however, the instructions are HORRIBLE. i just winged it based on experience putting other furniture together and a little common sense.

Disheartened

These chairs are solid wood which is why I am giving the 3 stars. However, they took 2 people to assemble since the supports pop out the moment you go to attach the other piece. It is more complicated than it should be. I have assembled furniture for a long time when doing property management and as a mother of 4. The last part is the chair seat. No pre drilled holes which is quite common. However, the back where the seat meets the back of chair (where your butt/back would be) never lines up perfect. No huge deal since only someone with OCD (myself) will ever notice. But the big kicker is one chair appears to have mold on it. I did wipe it down and it hasn't appeared to get worse (probably because the house is dry). Just disheartened as I feel with price point mold is something no one should deal with. I would have tried to do a return but we just moved into a new house and already have had a lot of company. These arrived later than it originally stated by a lot as is and didn't want to wait longer.

Just a note be careful and don't use any power tools while assembling this chair.

I'm a 40 year old woman. It took me less than 1 hour to assemble. 1st chair took me longer because I made sure it came with all accessories, and I read a simple instruction sheet. The second one took me around 15 minutes. I gave it 4 because the seat does not come with pre-drilled holes, so I could not attach it with screws so I used a two-sided tape, and it came out pretty good. it stays in place.
