Great chair for the price

I’ve only had the chair for a little over a week so I can’t say how it will hold up, but the quality seems excellent for the price. It is sturdy and very comfortable overall. It has good support and cushioning. It is not oversized. Many chairs today are made for larger men and do not support my back. This is just right.

We purchased this item from Wayfair years ago and loved it, so when it finally wore out we ordered another just like it. It came in a timely manner and in good condition. Very little assembly. We're happy with it.

This is a well built chair that should last a long time. The foam construction is comfortable and adjusts to different heights and angles very easily. A perfect computer desk chair for me. With the wheels and full circle pivot it is good for getting away from the computer as well.

FINALLY!!

Seriously… I finally found a winner! This chair is well made, meets all the needs and is extremely comfortable! I ordered 3 of these for my kids, we homeschool & have been through a lot of cheap, uncomfortable chairs. These were on the pricey side for us but I’m very happy with them, it was worth it! My kids are very excited about these chairs as wel!

We bought this chair a year ago. It's very comfortable, however, it is now broken. It will not stay in the height position that we need it at. It sporadically falls down. For this amount of money, I would have expected this to last at least a few years. I have another chair from this brand that I purchased elsewhere for $80 and it's almost two years old and has no issues.

A solid well designed quality chair.

Researched this somewhat expensive chair and found that Walmart was $50 dollars cheaper than the closest competitor in price. Wanted a good quality office/desk style armless chair that was comfortable, simply stylish, well made chair that would last. Still was skeptical about spending the extra $price point of this chair when there are decent enough chairs out there in the $60 - $70 dollar range, but after receiving

Don't sit, run (away!)

Avoid this chair. I purchased it 15 months ago. First, I had a defective pneumatic cylinder in the seat raising part of the chair. HON in Iowa had to ship a new one and WB Mason very kindly helped remove the defective column and install the new one. Then late last year, a loud wooden-type (not metallic) squeak developed every time I got up or sat down, as well as lean back or simply shift my weight. I had tried MANY times to lubricate every bolt, nut, screw, and cap but the results are always the same: the squeaks remain. Now, I must assume the plywood core of the seat is defective and there is no way for me to safely remove the upholstery and fix the plywood core. Honestly, it sounds terrible, like an old wooden stair tread rising up and down an old rusty nail. Do NOT buy!

Great for the price

I'm very pleased with this chair. It was relatively easy to put together. Connecting the back to the seat was awkward for me but my husband had no problems doing it. The seat is wide and deep. It's also firm, but comfortable. The back is curved just right for my lumbar and is firm which has been great for my posture. The wheels glide so easily across the floor and not having arms allows me to get closer to my L-shaped desk without scuffing the desk. I am super pleased with this lightweight, quality chair!

Hon Office Chair

This chair seat is very comfortable, rolls very easily, the material is wearing well after months of use, the adjustable height is great, and it was reasonably priced. Although it was accurately described with only height adjustment, a draw back in my opinion is the lack of having an adjustable back. Raising it higher to fit my lower back better, and being able to tilt it forward so i could have support while sitting up straight would be a real plus. Even if it were more $, I'd rather have those options. Other than that it is serving the purpose and I think that overall it's a good buy if you're used to this typical style of seating.

I originally ordered this chair for sewing in, as my previous chair caused so much back pain. Ive had this chair for almost a month now and have had absolutely no pain! Its extremely comfortable and perfect for taller people. My legs dont hang off the front edge of the seat very much. Loved the very heavy duty box and quality packaging it arrived in. Assembly took me about 15 minutes. Loved this chair so much I bought a second one for another area of my home.

Nice and firm

Today is my first day with my new chair. I had a similar chair for years and loved the design. This chairs is very comparable. I love the firmness but is very cushioned. The other ladies in my office are all very jealous. I sit at my desk for a 9-5 job and a good chair is a must and I think I hit the jackpot!

Returned the 5701 model to get this one. The main difference is this one's back reclines independent of the seat, which is how my office chair was. This is my COVID chair. I have used it for a few months now and it is holding up well. The only thing it's started to do is when I stand up, the seat stays compressed for a few seconds, and then pops back out. Nothing more than a slight annoyance, although I worry what this means for the durability of the chair. I would like for it to last many years.

Good quality and comfort

The chair arrived on time in great condition and was very easy and quick to assemble. I had it together in about 15 minutes. All components of the chair seem well made and durable. My wife and I have both been pleased with how comfortable it easy even after sitting on it for hours while working from home. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Perfect home office chair!

No drama, works very well!

I selected this chair in a rush to set up a work-at-home space, when I realized that a dining room chair is a definite No-Go for significant periods of time. My desk at home has a narrow opening so there is no space for arms or even a wide seat. After reading reviews of several chairs I settled on this one and have not been disappointed. There are so many ways an office chair can be aggravating, but this one just plain works as it ought to. I have a bad back and was worried about support. It is comfortable and raises and lowers as it ought to. Construction note: putting the casters on seems impossible for awhile, but then I put a ratchet on the caster (the space is too narrow for a hammer head) and tapped it a couple of time with a hammer and it went in.

Good, comfortable chair

Very comfortable chair. Firm cushioning. I have less hip pain than a straightback chair. My second chair after constantly borrowing my son's chair for long periods of time on the computer. I don't believe the back is adjustable, hence 4 stars.

I would not recommend this chair to anyone. It is very short seated, even for a small person like myself The seat is very firm and extremely uncomfortable. After sitting in the chair for less than a half hour, I felt as if the circulation had been cut off in my legs and my hip hurt. Do not buy this chair! It did arrive quickly and appears to be sturdy, if you don't mind sitting on a rock.

The Hon Volt is a basic task chair that stands the test of time. Easy for staff to operate. This chair has a leather upholstery on seat and back, so looks nice as well as functional. The chair does require assembly. The packaging of this chair could be improved and was quite damaged when we received it, causing a small tear in the seat leather. Wayfair, however, did replace the damaged seat quickly.

Seems like a great chair

Bought 2 a few weeks ago, arrived one at a time by UPS. Had a chance to put one together and liked it well enough to assemble the second. Now find them very comfortable and sturdy. Pretty easy to assemble. The wheels need to be inserted into the base and it takes some strength to push them into place. Also, the first chair easily went together at the seat and back connection, the second one took some serious jiggling and repositioning, then finally slid together. Glad I had help. Love them now.
