Santiago Huckleberry Candke

Very disappointing. There was no scent to this candle. Contacted company who suggested I turn my air conditioning off while burning the candle to get scent. I never had to do that with any other candle. This was a bad choice and expensive. Lesson learned.

Will continue to purchase

Beautiful soft blackberry and some subtle musk. Stunning purple glass jar. This is my 3rd jar of this one! Have to have this on hand for summer when the light is brighter and the days are longer, it is the perfect purple glass to reflect on a summer evening.

Wonderful Scent

This is my absolute favorite scent. I always hate to burn it because I don't want it to run out. But alas, the end must come for all candles so I do enjoy it. Ever since I first discovered it 10 years ago I must always have a jar in the house, whether it's the small, votive or large!

I look forward to to this Christmas gift from my husband every year. It is our favorite! I am super sensitive to candles and this one not only is safe for my allergies but also makes the house smell incredible. It is a light fruity fragrance with hints of vanilla. It makes or a great gift

Good, but not quite as rich looking as in past years

I buy these candles as much for the amazing scent as for the gorgeous jar. My color of my most recent Santiago Huckeberry jars (various candles) isn’t as rich or deep as those purchased a few years ago. Still beautiful, but a little less saturated. I bought a bunch assuming they would look the same. Might have purchased fewer if I’d seen them in person. Still, delicious smelling and pretty, just not as luxurious as the earlier versions.

To begin with, I never even knew huckleberries were a real thing. I typically am attracted to berry fragrances so after reading the reviews on this candle I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! This candle smells better than typical berry scents. It’s much more sophisticated and complex. It’s delicious and absolutely gorgeous too. I just bought my 5th one!

Next Time Buy An Empty Jar

I was so excited to try a new to me brand of candles! I had high expectations and am very disappointed. It’s a gorgeous jar, but the wax inside is worthless. It doesn’t throw at all, I can’t even smell it when I’m standing right over it!

Great warm fruity vanilla scent

Great scent but not enough throw. Good in a smaller room like a bedroom. I was expecting stronger throw for a larger room. Maybe I should have bought a larger candle. The scent is very fruit with vanilla undertones.

So bummed

Santiago Huckleberry is in my top three scents of all time. I was elated when the large two wick version came out. I thought this would give the ultimate fragrance throw. On cold sniff in the beautiful jar, it smells awesome. I guess because it is concentrated. When lit---zero throw. Not weak-just nothing. I have placed it in different rooms--nothing. So much money for such a weak candle. Would not repurchase. So bummed.

Love it!

This was one of the first scents and products I purchased from Voluspa. I have only been a customer for a month or two. I am so glad I found this company. I love this scent and it is tied with Panjore Lychee as my favorite. This is a sweet, yet smooth scent. It is not overpowering. I have the jar and 3 wick tin. Gorgeous jar, clean burn and don't be fooled by the size of the jar this lasts a long time. I love that Voluspa candles don't irritate my pets especially with the windows still closed at this time of year. Nice clean burn. Just in love with this company.

There's a reason...

...I return to this fragrance over and over again! Santiago Huckleberry simply reminds me of some of the best times I have had with my friends and family. I discovered this exquisite fragrance when I went shopping for the first time at (what was at the time) a free-standing retailer of fine, beautiful, bohemian womens' clothes and home items (won't name names, but I'm sure many of you can guess which retailer it was) From the moment I walked in, I asked the associate "What is that fragrance!?" I walked out that day with THREE large-size candles, and have returned back many times to repurchase. Since then, Santiago Huckleberry has found its place on my mantle, in my porch, in the living room, bedroom, and - my favorite on a warm summer evening - gracing my outdoor dinner table. I've even removed the last vestiges of the candle (not really all that easy to do - the candle is in there good and solid) and filled the lovely purple jar with fairy lights. Please NEVER stop making this fragrance! To me, it smells like good wine, good friends, good times - and home.

Quality has gone downhill

I have owned this candle before so I bought this one after my last one ran out. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed and should have read the reviews. My first candle was very fragrant and filled my room with a nice balance of realistic berries, cozy vanilla and light sweetness. This new one barely projects and smells sour and weak. The wax of every other Voluspa candle that I’ve had burned very evenly but this one is tunneling, which is never an issue I’ve had with Voluspa. I’m hoping I can exchange it for another scent.

Best candle ever???

This is one of my all-time favorite fragrances. It’s so beyond delicious and fruity. It’s super sweet but not at all overwhelming or headache inducing like some powerful fruit scents can be. It’s actually addicting. I have burned this candle regularly for probably a decade now and it never gets old. If you love fruity and sweet scents this is a must have! It’s quite possibly my favorite candle of all time!

SMELLS LIKE FRESH BAKED HUCKLEBERRY PIE!

I recently purchased the Santiago Huckleberry candle online in hopes that I would like the scent (normally I smell candles in-store before purchasing, but due to COVID I can no longer do so). I was pleasantly surprised at how yummy the candle smells, especially without being lit. Once lit, the candle smells like a fresh baked huckleberry pie, emitting notes of huckleberry, vanilla and sugary goodness! After burning for approximately 20-30 minutes, the scent started to permeate through part of my home, making me feel like I had just baked a pie. In addition, the beautifully designed jar matches well with my décor. For those that like fruity, sweet smelling candles, this is the one for you!

Not enough scent, tunneled and ruined candle

This was the second Voluspa candle I tried, the first was the baltic amber which had almost no throw and I returned. This one again had a wonderful scent when smelling straight out of the jar, but the first time I lit it it again had no throw and no scent really detectable, and additionally this one immediately tunneled straight down. I tried to fix this using the foil trick but it didn't completely even it out and with the lack of scent it needed to be returned as well. I absolutely love the jars and the presentation, as well as the scent combinations and everything Voluspa seems to offer. I just don't know how I could have such bad luck as to get two duds in a row, especially when I have a sensitive sense of smell and can appreciate delicate scents usually. My impression has definitely been that the scent is just completely lacking, and at a hefty price tag to boot. This was my first venture into "luxury" candles.

Favorite candle ever, but I got a bad one

This is my favorite smell ever! My bridesmaids even got me small jars as wedding gifts, totally unprompted—it’s my signature scent. I’ve had at least 4 other large jar candles that have made my house smell so lovely and inviting—I normally buy them from Anthropologie but decided to get it from the source this year. I’m so heartbroken by what I received. The candle burns beautifully and evenly across, but it has barely any smell at all. Unlit, it smells wonderful. Lit, you can smell it only if you are standing over the candle bending to smell it (within about a foot of the flames). I want to give this overall scent and the other large jar candles I’ve purchased multiple 5-star reviews and this most recent candle a 1-star review.

Quality Change

I smelled this candle a while ago in the store but was traveling and didn’t want to haul it around with me. The fragrance was rich and oily. Finally ordered one and got it today. Upon opening can barely smell it, and a wipe of my finger over the wax there is no fragrance oil— which is a sign of poor quality. I’ve had it lit now for two hours and brought it up to my face and sniffed and it smells like nothing. I’ve had other VS candles and the fill up the entire house. Can’t smell this sitting next to it after two hours. Would not buy again.

Warm sweetness with fresh notes of berry

This candle has quickly become one of my favourites! It's delightfully sweet and calming fragrance floats throughout the house leaving a lasting impression. The notes of crushed sugar cane and vanilla combine to create a gourmet sweet scent wrapped in the refreshing scent of berry. I light this candle often and it has lasted.about a month. I estimate that it has around 100 hours of burn time, and it has a fairly strong throw. If you like warm, sweet scents, this is the candle for you!
