Looks beautiful but drains slow

I spent quite a bit on m stand up shower and it looks great with the tile in shower drain. I have been extremely frustrated with the drain not working effectively. Water builds up quite a bit but once I lift the cover, the water drains very quickly. I raised the corners by having the cover sit on quarters but I still am experiencing a very slow drain. Please help with any suggestions.

The drain looks beautiful. Very clean and modern. Quality is good. My only complaint is that the water does not drain well and starts to pool in the shower. It needs deeper spacers. It seems that not enough air is allowed under the plate causing a vacuum and the water drains very slowly. Once I lift up the cover, the water then drains quickly. Design flaw of this drain.

Works well and clients appreciate the removable basket strainer. Have sourced numerous times without issue.

Very happy with our house renovation. Our new showers are awesome.

The cover looks nice but it drains so slowly. I'd love to get the other cover for my shower to allow faster drainage but apparently Oatey doesn't sell them and I'm not going to pay $60 for a new cover. So we leave it out and deal with the ugly look rather than swim in the shower.

drain pan not sloped and gathers water

I bought this item twice. first time i racked my brain because no matter how level i got the drain pan, it gathered water on one side. Bought the second time and same issue. customer service basically said oh well and said to try car wax. terrible design.

Beautiful... But Bad Design

Does not have enough of a gap between the tile inset and the frame that supports it where the water runs in. This means that the water starts pooling in the shower and doesn't go down fast enough.

My tile guy recommended this drain and it is perfect....

Worked out great! Used mortar and tile to fill the inset. Don't forget to slope!
