I recently had the Oatey Designline 6x6 square drain installed in our basement shower, and I'm quite happy with the results. My husband did the installation, and he found it to be straightforward. The drain looks fantastic in our shower, and it's working perfectly, ensuring efficient drainage every time. Overall, we're happy with this product so far!

Nice Quality

This product is made really well and it feels really sturdy. I like that it comes with all the pieces and the hook, which makes it easy to remove and clean. The installation is was pretty simple and the directions were clear.

Oatey is amazing

I love their sleek design. Works and drains very well. We have heard water and it doesn’t create water spots. I absolutely love the pattern. It even comes with a lifting key for the ease of removal for cleaning and maintenance. 

Great looking functional drain!

Usually stainless steel shower drains are common, but this matte black 4” x 4” square drain is so unique and makes a great decorative touch to any shower. It’s also functional too since it has a filter basket underneath to catch things like hair that can clog your drain!

Matte black square drain for tile showers

I’m gonna have a tile shower installed and I got this Oatey Designline decorative square shower drain. It’s made from stainless steel and has a sloped inside to help drain properly. I love that it comes with a debris basket that I can easily access with the included lifting key. They thought of everything when crafting this drain. I’m so excited I can wait to get everything installed!

Black not silver

I chose silver but received black. I can’t install this since my bathroom with the flat drain has silver fixtures. It wouldn’t look right. It seems decent but I can’t comment on durability.

Great drain cover

Such a beautiful drain, it even has an internal catch feature to collect any hair or other items that may risk going down and clogging your drain.

Nice contemporary design

I need this to be installed by a contractor with plumbing experience—do not do it yourself unless skilled! The quality of the drain is sturdy and durable, and it has a lovely semi matte finish that will be comfortable. It feels smooth to the touch. I can see an issue with my hair or anyone with long hair causing a blockage so that needs to be sorted out. Made well, great size, and aesthetically really nice!

Not true Matte black. Disappointing

Product looks great but it is thick so the plumber has to build up the concerte level to meet the drain

One of the best things ever invented this works great

We renovated out bathroom and picked out black accents so this shower drain was perfect. Installation was easy. Hopefully it doesn’t stain with calcium. It’s supposed to last for years. We purchased from Home Depot.

Drain cover

I only had this for 2 weeks and the cover is peeling already, very disappointed 😞

Finish already peeling

The finish is peeling off already! I do love how you can easily take it off and clean out any clogs, but it looks awful already
