Works great

This was compatible with my K-26109-RA-0 tub. I love this drain set up because it stops a lot of my hair from going down the drain. No leaks or anything after using for 2+ years.

It works just fine. The piece that lifts up and down to fill or drain the bathtub is a tad hard to operate but not enough to cause a problem, really. Harder to push down that pull up, but it works fine with a little pressure.

My plumber said there was not enough adjustment to allow the mechanism to completely stop the drain from draining. The linkage was too short for the stopper mechanism to work he said. Final result is a tub that will drain out in about 20 minutes after filling. I bought this to replace a leaking 90 year old Crane unit. Leak was at the neck joint. Stopper mechanism worked fine. I should have saved $100 and just had the old one welded.

Bathroom renovation

This went perfectly with the new Kohler K-506 Mendota Collection tub I purchased. Its already installed and I have no complaints.

Water depth not available in specs

I think this item is fine for a tub with a water depth of around 8-10". My tub has a water depth of 11 1/4" and this "14 - 16 inch" drain won't extend far enough for that tub so I had to return it. I think giving the tub "depth" in the specs isn't useful, because that measurement really has nothing to do with the height needed for the drain. What really matters is the water depth.

Very good drain.

This trip lever drain works very well. It has definite stop positions for stopped and drain. It holds water tight when stopped and drains freely in the drain position. I like the screen which prevents hair from going down the drain and plugging the P trap. I would definitely buy again.

Dissatisfied with the product and Kohler customer service

The overflow ell and tailpiece in this kit is full of green corrosion from soldering. Called Kohler and they said I must have been sold a used product and that it would not have come from the factory that way. The customer service agent was rude. I will return it and replace with another brand.

Problem Threads.

Home Depot will not let me say what happened to me because of the Threads on the pipes. You will have to figure out why the Threads on the pipes would be a problem so bad that I am not allowed to describe in any way what the problem is. If you must buy this product, I strongly recommend the use of Kevlar gloves and under no circumstances attempt to install this product without hand protection of some kind.

quality product

Easy installation with minimum tools required. Had to use handles of channel locks to remove old strainer.

Excellent tub drain

Looking for a flat tub drain with the lever. This was the only brand similar to my old one. Catches the hair with the grid with round holes. Not raised with a edge that is lower between the tub and the drain so it does not collect dirt. You wouldn't think something like this would be so hard to find, but it was. The Kohler customer service was incredible. I would buy kohler over moen all through my house if I had it to do again.

SOLID CONSTRUCTION

A reliable product that is constructed very well. The only drawback is the time consuming drainage adjustment. I prefer this type over the pop-up drain.

Good product, good price.

This is a similar drain that I was looking at at Home Depot or Lowes. Pretty universal design. Went in well in my Kohler tub.
