Tv stand

It’s a nice tv stand, but to build it it’s very complicated around step 11-15. But overall it’s very sturdy, nice looking, and worth the price in my opinion.

Hospice Mom's Christmas Present

This product looked awesome on the website. I even let my mom pick her present because she is bed bound. My mother is currently under my care and in Hospice. I doing my best to get her things she always wanted. SoI decided to go with home Depot service and products. I really do like to look at the reviews of others and debate if product is right or not. So after showing my mom the unit we decided to get it. As it was delivered a week early and is not home and it was forecasted to rain product was left outside exposed to get damaged had we not got here a day early from Christmas vacation. Then we waited until they contacted me for an assembler to come out and build it for us. Yes I paid for an assembler $179 to put it together. Why might you ask because had I done it, it would take two days, which now I wish I would have done it. So you can say I paid close to double for the unit adding the 2 year protection. So the assembler after looking as she don't know what she is doing and complaining to her husband on the phone about the unit and how she had screws leftover told me that it was a beast to put together. I was to myself it's just a unit and she should be a pro since representing Home Depot. Then she hands me the extra screws and tells me that it sometimes happens from manufacturers putting extra. Well after inspecting the unit after I noticed that the unit had a few things wrong with it, that were not done by assembly. One was where the sliding glass slides the rail was broken like chipped. Took pics of it and called customer service they said bring into the store get a new one I was like I ordered online because I can't leave my mom alone. Then I said what about it being assembled they said I would have to pay again. Then I asked are you serious for a product that was defective? He said I can offer you a 10 percent discount now I hope someone feels my frustration at this point. Well I not wanting to be a person that everyone refers to a "Karen" , asked for Home Office number and district manager. I never got around to calling them because my mom fell ILL and ended up in the hospital. So here I still have this unit that noticed now that the two plastic legs are bent and the cheap corkboard that holds them together is cracked on 3 legs of the 8. So eventually I will take this unit back or just call $400 a loss because at this point I hate to deal with customer service. I just want to caution others about the product, the assembly, and the customer service they have to offer afterwards. Buyers Beware. Maybe others will have better luck with it than I did. If you do buy it or build it I suggest keeping the legs off. Legs are made cheap and what it anchors into. Less

The first order was damaged, the second order was damaged. The directions were hard to understand. The furniture for the original price was not worth it, this is pressed wood. We finally did get it together and kept it with the damages. However, the Home Depot customer care staff was awesome with their timely response and help. I give them an A+The TV Stand a D

Tv stand

This is a beautiful tv stand. The only concern is about putting it together.

The instructions are pictures only, no written instructions. The picture on the website looks great but the actual item looks cheap. I took me approximately 5 hours and 4 blisters to put it together. I guess the moto of this story is to look BEFORE you buy.

Great piece of furniture, difficult to assemble

This is a beautiful well designed piece of furniture. its heavy duty. The missing star is due to the assembly of the cabinet. The instructions were unclear and only displayed pictures. It took a total of 4 hours to assemble. Other than that, no complaints.

Legs are made out of cheap plastic/ 1 page instructions and hard to read,

This unit was hard to assemble due to instructions all cramped up in 1 single page, 1 plastic leg broke right after moving it 6", i would not recommend this unit for the price and the trouble of putting it together.

Average

The unit looks decent but I’m pretty sure that in building this, I now have my engineering degree. The instructions were quite vague and the pictures weee super tiny so I did some of the steps wrong and had to back track. Or i spent 20 mins trying to analyze what they meant with the pictures and instructions. I even did internet research. It probably took me 5-6 hours all in to build alone and the drawers are barely functional. I gave up. I was exhausted and lost sleep building it but it was so big I had to do it or not be able to move in my apartment. The unit looks a bit cheaper than online but not so bad that I would try to return it after all that I invested in it emotionally, mentally and time wise. If you like puzzles and building things, maybe you’ll enjoy the process. Less
