Just run

Tarnished within weeks of not even daily use. A finish that can't even tolerate normal use. There is nothing on the metal and I attempted to clean it with everything customer service suggested. The metal is clean, but it is tarnished. This happened within weeks of install. They sent a new one and refunded me, and the SAME thing happened. Such an expensive mistake. Because this has a nonstandard valve body I now have to cut open my walls to expose copper pipes and reinstall a regular valve body. Horrible mistake. Just run!

Replaced an old bath tub diverter spout, which had started to corrode after only a few months. This is in a house that is on well water with a pH of 6.2 - so anything not well made tends to fail quickly. First photo shows old diverter and you can see corrosion spots starting. Second photo shows side-by-side - notice the Miseno spout uses much thicker metal. The house had a threaded stub out, which is easy to cut off to install slip-style fitting. Last two photos show spout installed (note back ring does not come with spout). Installation is quick and easy with typical allen key to lock spout onto copper stub out. Diverter works fine. Will see how chrome plate holds up over time, but overall construction quality looks good.
