Nice table after some effort
The table was delivered on time and is exactly as pictured. I love the straight lines and prestige white top. The base was pretty heavy and since we had to align the holes from the bottom up to the table, it took a little effort since the holes were very small from the base and there was no marking under the table as to where the 4 screws should align with the bottom of table. We had to keep turning until the base holes aligned with the bottom of table. With some effort and a flashlight, it finally went through and we tighten the base to the table top. That being said, the top is not as sturdy as I'd hope. Whenever anyone leans on it by putting their elbows on the table, it does create a little seesaw effect. I like the table but do not love it.

Packaged very well. Definitely requires 2 people to lift the top onto the bottom to secure it. Easily fits 6 chairs and could squeeze in a couple more if needed. The finish on the table top seems like it will last. I'm glad I was able to find an affordable tulip table large enough for my family of 6.

Gorgeous tulip table perfect for mid century living. Just be forewarned - the tabletop and base are VERY heavy. You need several people to move and assemble this piece.

We are very happy with our new Lippa dining table. We shopped around at other online home decor retailers and Overstock had the best price with a coupon. Our house is rectangular, with split level sunken living room that is very square. The upper level dining room is also very square and this oval table softens all the sharp angles and edges of both of the rooms. The stark contrast of our dark hardwood floor and the white table brings character and sophistication we were trying to achieve. To perfectly coordinate with this dining table, we also purchased from Overstock 8 of the Safavieh Mid-Century Dining Summerset Modern Grey/ White Dining Chairs, and we are incredibly happy that the white piping perfectly matches with the gorgeous glossy oval table. The table and chairs look as if they are a set!!! The rounded backs of the chairs perfectly match with the rounded edges of the oval table as if they were made as a set. For our own personal decor taste for minimalism, the table and chairs look best with 4 chairs, and 6 chairs around the table looks great, too. So, anyone wondering how many chairs can fit around this table, 8 chairs fit perfectly with comfort, and probably 10 chairs with narrower chairs. We can fit two narrower chairs to seat 10 people around the table with our 8 chairs. The fiberglass table is quite delicate so we have to be careful about what we put on it; the scratches we got on them are super fine so it's very hard to see just looking at the table. We will use vinyl white lace table cloth when we have guests to serve meals so that we will not be paranoid about scratching or staining the white table; we want to enjoy our table, not treat it delicately. Eero Saarinen was the architect and industrial designer who designed this style table, and high end furniture stores charge 10x-15x+ what we paid for on Overstock . Our Modway Lippa table from Overstock looks just as high end as the marble top table from high end furniture stores/designers. This table can tie in with any existing furnishings - traditional, modern, contemporary, shabby chic. The oval shape of the table definitely transforms a typical boring dining room into an artistic room. We 1000% recommend this table!!!
