Chic dresser

The overall look of the product is chic, the wood is a perfect accent to my room and the 5 drawers are great for storage. Assembly took about an hour and a half, and it takes a bit of effort to close some of the drawers. It seems like it’s suppose to have a quiet/soft close, but the resistance makes it feel like the individual drawers are stuck. I’ve just gotten used to pushing the drawers really hard to close them. Reason for the 4 stars

Great Piece

Bought in the store from their website. Better than expected on a quick delivery. Thanks to Kerry Burke for all her help.

Inexpensive but nice quality Chester.

Took awhile to put together but the finish product is nice just like the picture. It’s nice and sturdy. Drawers are roomy.

Product looks good when assembled and fits the aesthetic I wanted, but was not really worth the effort. Instructions are truly AWFUL to follow with minimal detail, hardware is not labeled, and the ball-bearing drawer slides are an absolute mess to make work initially. Took several hours for me, with construction experience and power tools. Quality is about as expected for a particle board dresser, but feels not worth the headache it caused.

Pretty great actually! Veneer is good quality, with the exception of the legsThe veneer down there was flapping around as soon as I took it out of the package Drawers are tight on some, normal on othersNot sure if I installed them incorrectlyTop drawer doesn’t line up with the others so that’s probably it Handles feel veeeerrrrrry cheap, but are sturdy and give an attractive finishing touch

The worse piece of furniture I have ever bought. I have assembled hundreds of furniture pieces. But the Baxton Chest was a nightmare. After three days trying to assemble with ridiculous instructions, I decided I will return it. After reading reviews, most buyers had the same nightmare trying to assemble the furniture piece. I will never buy furniture from Home Depot again.

Spend the money for something better

Directions were hard to understand - materials were super cheap - handles are very sharp in the edges - missing wooden dowels - DO NOT recommend this product

Directions and complete

The directions are incomplete. It doesn't show you how to attach the drawers.

Bad instructions/ quality

The instructions are absolutely terrible. They are not informative at all. It was a guessing game the whole time putting it together. By the time we got to the end and were putting the drawers in, the top and bottom ones dont push in all the way. It came with one corner on top of the dress chipped off as well.

Poor quality and poor delivery condition

This was a disaster from the moment I opened the box. The styrofoam was severely damaged so when we opened the box, foam got EVERYWHERE (photos attached were taken AFTER vacuuming - there were stilling so many tiny pieces stuck to the walls and ourselves). Then I noticed that one of the bag of screws was ripped opened. When I counted the screws to make sure I had all of the same type, I counted 3 missing screws.

well built for the most part, drawers don't slide perfectly, very aesthetically pleasing, not as large as anticipated. TERRIBLE to put together. The directions were horrible - unclear & not appropriately labeled. It took me and my husband 3+ hours from start to finish as we had to vacuum down each individual piece before we could put together as the packing material broke apart and stuck to every single piece which could not be easily wiped off/removed.

JUNK

Cheapest materials in existence. More assembly than ANY furniture I have EVER had to assemble (and I've put together some doozies.) Would be impossible without two people. End result is drawers that are ALMOST lined up but 100% not flush to the front of the cabinet. The drawers all stick out 1/2 inch. This product is cheaply-made garbage. Absolute trash. Beyond frustrating and inconsistent assembly (some screws need a screwdriver while others use the included wrench.)
